NFL Midseason MVP Award
With eight weeks to go in the season, let's take a look at my pick for NFL MVP.
This may be a tie between Peyton Manning and Phillip Rivers. It really is too tough to call as of right now.
Peyton has the Colts at 5-3 despite injuries to Austin Collie, Anthony Gonzalez, Pierre Garcon (for the majority of the year), Dallas Clark and Joseph Addai. Don’t forget that their defensive stud, Bob Sanders, is also struggling to come back from an injury and there are doubts whether he’ll return this year at all.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
On the other hand, Phillip Rivers is also putting his team on his back while injuries and holdouts limit his weapons. Vincent Jackson has yet to play this season with his holdout with Chargers management—and the receivers who were to step up and fill Jackson’s void have all been bit by the injury bug.
Antonio Gates, Malcolm Floyd, Legedu Naane and Buster Davis were inactive last week leaving Rivers with Seyji Ajirotutu and Patrick Crayton has his two most effective receivers last week. In addition to this, rookie Ryan Mathews has also struggled to stay healthy, and even when healthy, he has struggled to produce.
The one thing holding Rivers back is his record. At 4-5, it is hard to give Rivers the award, but if he can will this Chargers team to the AFC West title then he definitely deserves it.
This is just an opinion…so please Pardon My Bias.
