You SUCK: Five Guys Who Need to Become Heels For The Sake Of Their Careers

The Jonathan CooneyyNov 14, 2010

Face to heel changes are shocking, unpredictable and great platforms for amazing storylines once the athlete has the right mic skills and power of convincing people.

Some great WWE heels over the years include Triple H, Edge, Sheamus, Vince McMahon, King BOOKAH, Chris Jericho, Steve Austin, Ted DiBiase and many more.

When you hear the words "stale" and "character" used in the same sentence, WWE instantly pops to mind.

WWE has built a tragic reputation of letting stars "fizzle" out, become boring and badly misused.

A recent example of the above would be Jack Swagger: a face turn would do him no good, but anything the creative team could throw at him would be something.

Christian

His in-ring return has to be soon, and what better way to return than to turn on his former friend, Edge?

Edge and Christian tormented the WWE Tag Division for a long time and have many accomplishments to prove that.

WWE allowed us to witness, on free TV a match between Edge and Christian, earlier this year on RAW.

This suggests two thing to me...

It was a teaser, or they are out of their friggin' minds!

Christian has played a classic heel in WWE's past and also in TNA, WWE's wannabe rival company. WWE should insist that Christian return to his hated ways.

A storyline of this nature would bring out some classic promos, matches and memories.

Please WWE, think with your heart and not your PG Brain.

John Cena

All of you hardcore WWE fans knew this slide was going to pop up somewhere along the way.

John Cena is a Pro Wrestling legend, like it or not, he is the Hogan of OUR generation and should get that heel turn that other guys like Hogan, Austin, Rock, and Bret got.

A Cena heel turn would be brilliant in the fact that ratings would probably shoot through the roof, and we would also see fresh new feuds as Cena would be the heel.

He could feud against obvious faces like Daniel Bryan and Mysterio, whom he has never feuded with as a main eventer.

He could also renew his bad blood with current faces like Undertaker, Triple H, Edge and perhaps Chris Jericho.

R-Truth

Singing and dancing are not the only thing former World Champion R-Truth is good for.

Truth was a big player in TNA and rose to become World Champion during his stint with the company.

Truth needs something new and refreshing, because as of late he has been drawn into the whole Nexus-Cena angle and I think it would be brilliant if he joined Barrett and turned on his "friend" John Cena.

Former US Champion R-Truth has good in-ring skills and has what it take to put on unforgettable matches with some of WWE's top dogs.

Truth should not be stuck on RAW's lame mid-card scene singing and dancing.

Kaval

4 of 5

This guy has so much talent it is actually...Unthinkable.

I was so excited to see this guy's debut and then when I heard the news that he was starting his long awaited WWE career on NXT well I was...

Not so damn happy anymore!

If he were not in TNA would he have had to go through a rookie show to get on to the main roster?

Well, either way it does not really matter, because he flew through the show and got his deserving place on the SmackDown roster and now WWE kills the athlete even more by having him lose to...

Chavo Guerrero - A good athlete but in all fairness Kaval should have beaten him, as Chavo was buried a long time ago.

Drew McIntyre - Again a match witch should have been won by Kaval to add extra hype to him joining the show.

Pinned By Rhodes in a Tag Team match - Understandable considering that he is a tag team champ but if Kaval had won that would of forced a title shot and the reformation of a possible team between Kingston and Kaval witch would be exciting and unpredictable.

And they are just some of his WWE losses on the main show.

Other winners in matches against Kaval included... Jack Swagger (twice) and Tyler Reks.

Some of you may be asking why Kaval is on this slide when he has such an incredible fan base.

The reason is because we have not seen any segments or we don't know a lot about Kaval and also a face turn is doing him no favours, so why not try the heel way...

Rey Mysterio

5 of 5

I have gotten the point where I can barely listen to match commentary involving Rey Mysterio, he is very talented but his gimmick has been the same one since he joined the company and we all know that he can and will over come the odds.

If Rey has beaten giants like Big Show, Mike Knox, Kane, Mark Henry and Khali all in the past why would we be so surprised when he gets a lame pinfall over an average sized man like Alberto Del Rio or Cody Rhodes.

He needs a heel turn, It would be so successful because of how over he is with the crowd. All fans would feel cheated and some major hate would come his way in bucket loads.

I know a lot of you reading this know that a heel turn is very unlikely for Rey but I just think that it should be thought up as a possibility for a character change.

This BS of him "once again shockingly, overcoming the odds" has become just about as boring as a school day in summer time.

I enjoy Rey's in-ring work and I know for fact he has had amazing matches with the likes of Edge, Kurt Angle, Alberto Del Rio, Tajiri, CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler and, of course, Eddie Guerrero.

But come on the dude has been face his entire career and has had a very similar gimmick also throughout his career.
