Inzaghi has been a wonderful asset to Milan's attack off the bench this season. In five appearances, Super Pippo has scored twice in Serie A.
In his favorite competition, the UEFA Champions League, the sniper has made three appearances late on in the matches, and has provided some spark for the attack. In last week's encounter with Real Madrid, Inzaghi came in when all hope seemed lost with a half hour left.
The supersub went on to score two goals, and Milan shared the spoils with Madrid while the 37-year-old became Europe's all-time leading scorer in club competition with 70 goals.
Rumors this week have Inzaghi wanting to leave the San Siro this winter. But whether these rumors are true or not is unknown.
Inzaghi had entered the match on Wednesday night against Palermo after Alexandre Pato went down with a leg injury. Inzaghi was forced to leave the match 15 minutes later.
Pato's status for Sunday's Derby della Madonnina against Inter Milan is not yet known. He will undergo a scan tomorrow.
