Miami Choke?

Pardon My Bias Bleacher ReportNov 10, 2010

Definitely not! Miami is not choking, they are just growing. You can not expect a team to put three all-stars together and be great right away, especially when two of those players are LeBron James and Dwayne Wade.

It is true that they have a huge weakness at point guard and center, but what are some viable solutions? Hey, isnโ€™t Erick Dampier still available? Dampier is not an all-star center, but he may be a decent solution for a team that does not need too much scoring. Dampier is a good rebounder and an adequate shot blocker.

When it comes down to it, the Heat need some defense patch-ups.

For the point guard situation, it may be a little more difficult. They need a shut down defender, and I personally can not put a finger on who that would be. With LeBron not wanting to move to point guard, it leaves a huge whole. Carlos Arroyo is definitely not the solution for this problem and with Mike Miller out for a good amount of time, they need to find a good defensive point guard. If any one has a viable solution please let me know, because I am having trouble hunting down a free agent point guard to place into that position.

For what Mike Miller does return, what if they set their lineup to:

PG: Dwayne Wade

SG: Mike Miller

SF: LeBron James

PF: Chris Bosh

C: Joel Anthony or whoever it may be.

I am not sure how well this starting lineup will work, but it seems like a possibility. At the end of the day, the Heat losing three games is NOT a big deal. Of course, everyone is going to get on their case and wonder how a team with so much talent can lose so many games, especially when people had them winning 72 games.

It is only 8 games into the season, WHO CARES! This Heat team will be good as time goes on, there is no doubt about that. Heat haters can criticize Miami as much as they want, but just watch out when the playoffs come around.

This is just an opinion so pleaseโ€ฆPardon My Bias
