East Meadow Jets Long Island New York High School Football and Soccer Fall 2010
East Meadow (5-4) finished fifth in Nassau Conference I football. The Jets fell to Syosset in the first round of the postseason, but fought hard to the finish.
Defensive back James D'Elia had two fumble recoveries and Hector Guerrero pinned Syosset deep in their own zone when the teams faced-off just one week earlier. Dylan Curry capped off a magical season at quarterback with several crafty scrambles that resulted in key touchdowns for the Jets.
Anthony Posillico led boy's soccer to a playoff berth, clinching the No. 2 ranking in the conference with his masterful hat-trick performance against MacArthur on October 27. They were upset by Port Washington in the first round of the playoffs, but move forward to next year with a strong cast of returning stars.
