Week 10 Fantasy Football Wide Receivers: Who To Pick Up, Dump or Ignore

Patrick Scott PattersonNov 9, 2010

Shocking that we are already to Week 10 in the fantasy football season. A lot of shake-ups, major injuries, trades, unexpected contenders and disappointing teams have made it a challenge to stay on top of the hottest fantasy football trends, so perhaps I can help.

Here are some wide receivers that might be on your fantasy football radar one way or another as we head into Week 10.

Pick-Up

Jacoby Ford, Oakland Raiders

The speedy Ford had his coming-out party for the suddenly hot Raiders on Sunday, with 148 yards receiving and a 94-yard touchdown return to boot.

Ford has been a steady hand in return duties all season, and given the shaky nature of other Oakland WRs, he might have just earned himself a lot more playing time after the bye week.

Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys

How 15 percent of Yahoo! leagues still have this guy on the wire is beyond comprehension. Bryant continued to increase his stats on Sunday, scoring Dallas's lone touchdown, his sixth of the year.

With the shake-ups in Dallas, owner Jerry Jones stated that they will be highlighting players who are playing to win. Bryant is set to see a ton of playing time as a result, as he was the only Cowboys player on the field Sunday who showed even the slightest fire or heart.

If you are in a keeper league, do what you have to do to get this guy and keep him.

Steve Johnson, Buffalo Bills

Another head-scratcher, as Johnson is still out there in 19 percent of Yahoo! leagues despite putting up great stats for weeks now. With teammate Roscoe Parrish now out for the season, these stats should continue and likely increase.

Win-loss records don't matter in fantasy football. Stats do. Get him for cryin' out loud.

Ignore

Seyi Ajirotutu, San Diego Chargers

An incredible game for the oddly pronounced name.

With Vincent Jackson set to come back and other Chargers getting healthy, however, Seyi shouldn't be expected to see this kind of opportunity again. If you grabbed him, keep him, but if he's still on the wire you might look elsewhere for WR help.

Drop/Trade Bait

Roy Williams, Dallas Cowboys

The Jon Kitna reunion has been anything but productive for Williams. With Dez Bryant's time and status increasing during the shake-ups in Dallas, expect Williams to be phased out going forward.

Roscoe Parrish, Buffalo Bills

Roscoe, you dipstick!

Parrish the thought of keeping him around, as he broke his wrist on Sunday and will miss the rest of the season.

Chad Ochocinco, Cincinnati Bengals

Mr. Eighty-Five isn't putting up numbers as Terrell Owens continues to forget that it's 2010.
