Chansi Stuckey Video: Watch Cleveland Browns WR Score NFL's Best TD
The best TD of the day? Chansi Stuckey's rendition of the fumblerooski.
And ironically, it came against the New England Patriots. Remember two years ago when the Miami Dolphins unveiled the Wildcat? Well, that crazy offense led the Dolphins to a stunning 38-13 win.
Today, the Browns used that same type of trickery, for at least one play, to pull off another stunning victory over the Pats, who many had deemed the NFL's best team at 6-1.
Take a look at Stuckey's stunner!
The Scenario
1 of 3
With the 2-5 Browns nursing an early 10-7 lead against the 6-1 Patriots (who were tops in most people's power rankings this week), Cleveland faced a first and ten at the New England 11-yard line.
There were three minutes and thirty seconds remaining in the second quarter when Joshua Cribbs lined up under center for the Browns.
The Play
2 of 3With the offensive linemen (minus center Alex Mack) not yet in their stances and still standing, Mack snapped the ball to Josh Cribbs.
Cribbs immediately placed the ball in the stomach of Chansi Stuckey, who was crouching behind the still standing offensive linemen. Those big bodies shielded him just enough to gain a quick step and head upfield for the touchdown.
The Result
3 of 3
Stuckey's 11-yard touchdown gave the Browns a surprising 17-7 lead with just over three minutes remaining in the second quarter.
Cleveland held on to the lead heading into halftime, thanks to a Patriots' fumble on their next possession.
The Browns scored again midway through the third quarter to really take control of the game. And despite Tom Brady's second touchdown pass to Aaron Hernandez, Cleveland cruised to a 34-14 win.
Stuckey may have been the star on that one play, but running back Peyton Hillis was the star of the entire game. He rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries.
Cleveland improved to 3-5 while the Pats fell to 6-2.
