Churchill Downs: Calvin Borel and Javier Castellano Throw Punches

After the Breeders' Cup at Churchill Downs, jockeys Calvin Borel and Javier Castellano exchanged punches at the winner's circle.

Borel was upset after Castellano made a dangerous move during the race and charged at Borel while pointing his finger.   

Castellano responded by taking a swing at Borel, which prompted security officials to quickly break up the confrontation. 

Castellano, who is 5-foot-1 and 110 pounds, had a clear advantage in the fight since he is four inches taller than Borel. 

This fight may have been more entertaining than the one Sidney Crosby participated in earlier this week. 

No one could have expected a fight to happen after a horse race.

This fight is accompanied with some entertaining music, while providing plenty of replays. 

Jockeys whip their horses constantly, it is about time they did it to their opponents.   

This fight occurred at Philadelphia Park.

Sidney Crosby Fight

The last NHL player one would expect to get in a fight voluntarily is Sidney Crosby. 

However, on Wednesday night Crosby got into a fight with Matt Niskanen late in a game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Dallas Stars. 

Crosby was quite impressive at throwing punches.  Hopefully this becomes a more frequent occurrence.

Olli Jokinen Vs Sam Gagner

This may be a growing trend in the NHL.  Olli Jokinen and Sam Gagner fought on center ice the other night in a game between the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers. 

The fight occurred right after a goal and it was certainly unexpected as both players are finesse forwards. 

The beginning of the fight features the best punches.  

Water Polo Girl Fight

In 2009, at the FINA Women's World Championship Gold Medal Match, there was a punch thrown by the American player. 

The match was between the United States and Canada.  The American woman clearly wanted to add insult to injury. 

She threw the cheap shot right after scoring a goal.

Fights Between Teammates

Fans cheer on their home team's players when they get into fights with their opponents. 

Fans should not be too happy when teammates starting fighting with each other.  

Here is a video of the top ten fights between teammates (two of the clips do not seem to work well).  

The best one is probably No. 3.

Baylor's Brittney Griner punched Texas Tech's Jordan Barncastle after the two got physical in the paint. 

Not sure how well she landed the punch, but she definitely gave it her best effort.

Elizabeth Lambert Goes Crazy

Everyone remembers clips from New Mexico's Elizabeth Lambert trying to take down the entire BYU team in a game from the 2009 MWC soccer tournament. 

Lambert looks really angry throughout the video and definitely is pretty clever with her cheap shots. 

Lambert was ultimately suspended for her actions.
