NFL Picks Week 9: Buffalo Bills and Other Underdogs Who Will Win Outright

Matt RudnitskyNov 4, 2010

My NFL Week 6 Picks might shock you.

I see four underdogs winning their games outright.

So who will it be? The Buffalo Bills? Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Detroit Lions? Indianapolis Colts? (Yes, they are underdogs)

Keep reading and find out who the giant-killers are for this week, starting with the league's most surprising team..

Chiefs (+2.5) Over Raiders

The Chiefs are the better team here, but they are still the underdogs.

Oakland has been playing out of their minds lately, but they've beaten the Broncos and Seahawks.

They're teams, but they can't run the ball and attack Oakland's most glaring weakness: their run defense.

Fortunately for Kansas City, that is their greatest strength behind Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones.

Kansas City should win outright.

Bills (+3) Over Bears

The Bills to win?

Yet again, this comes down to the matchup.

Buffalo is capable of stopping the pass, but can't stop the run.

Matt Forte has stuggled this year (and last year) and won't be able to slice through the Bills' defense like most running backs can.

With Buffalo finally slowing down a team's running game, they will prove to be much better than people give them credit for.

Look for Ryan Fitzpatrick and Co. to win this one and get Buffalo off the schneid.

Colts (+3) Over Eagles

The Eagles are good and should get Michael Vick back for this game, but they have no business being favored over the Colts.

Indy started slow but showed last week why they've been so good for so long with a convincing 30-17 win over Houston.

This game could be close, but Peyton is just too good for the Eagles.

Why do the Bucs get no love?

It's easy to forget that they are 5-2, and have one of the league's best young quarterbacks in Josh Freeman.

And with the emergence of LeGarrette Blount in the backfield, their offense should be fine.

The Bucs might struggle to stop Michael Turner, but they'll put up points against a Falcons defense that has given up over 30 points in each of the last two weeks.

Freeman should break out in this one against the suspect Falcons secondary, and the Bucs will win outright.
