Randy Moss Waived By Vikings: Odds For Every Team's Chance Of Signing Him
The era of Randy Moss in Minnesota comes to an end for a second time, as head coach Brad Childress told his team the veteran receiver is no longer with the team.
This comes a month after acquiring Moss for a third round pick. The big question now becomes, who will claim and or sign him?
Tonight, I give you the odds of what team Randy Moss may end up on next.

32. Minnesota Vikings
1 of 32
Let's make this clear. There is absolutely no chance Randy Moss returns to the Vikings. In his short time there he created tension in the locker room, and yesterday's press conference warned out his short homecoming in Minnesota.
Odds: a million to one
31. Baltimore Ravens
2 of 32
Though anything can't be ruled out, it is highly unlikely Randy Moss will be a Baltimore Raven.
The Ravens have four receivers on the roster, with two of them looking to find a solid role in the offense.
Not only does Randy Moss' attitude not fit with this team, but bringing him in will only create more tension and controversy on the offensive side.
Odds: 900 to 1
30. Pittsburgh Steelers
3 of 32
The odds of Randy Moss appearing in a Steelers uniform appears unlikely. Randy Moss' attitude isn't the kind of player the Steelers want on their team.
In the off season the Steelers traded receiver Santonio Holmes to the Jets. Mike Wallace has emerged as a number one receiver, making it that less likely that the Steelers would claim Moss.
Odds: 900 to 1
29. Cleveland Browns
4 of 32
Randy Moss to the Cleveland Browns? You can count on that not happening.
Eric Mangini is a head coach that stresses team first, and Randy Moss's character wouldn't last two games in Cleveland.
The Browns also have young receivers who they want to get playing time, and a rookie quarterback who is just learning the ropes.
Odds: 850 to 1
28. Indianapolis Colts
5 of 32
I can't see Randy Moss being in an Indianapolis Colts uniform. Not only do the Colts bring in guys with questionable character issues, but Peyton Manning creates more weapons for himself.
Despite losing Austin Collie and Dallas Clark, I don't see Randy Moss being claimed by the Colts if given the chance to.
Odds: 825 to 1
27. Buffalo Bills
6 of 32
The Buffalo Bills can have Randy Moss if they desire him, but I don't see how a connection can be made at all. Randy Moss would not fit with a winless team, especially one that has avoided controversy despite the slow start.
They experimented last year with the Terrell Owens signing, and that only lasted one year.
Odds: 800 to 1
26. Green Bay Packers
7 of 32
Can Randy Moss be going to a rival of the Vikings? It won't be the Green Bay Packers.
Donald Driver and Greg Jennings are two perfect receivers for Aaron Rodgers to work with.
I'm sure the Packers still remember the show Moss put on in the endzone in the playoff game at Green Bay.
Odds: 700 to 1
25. New Orleans Saints
8 of 32
The New Orleans Saints are another team that is unlikely to be interested in Randy Moss.
The defending champions have been battling the injury bug, with many of their key weapons being on the shelf early on in the season. Drew Brees and Sean Payton are confident in the weapons they have, and bringing in Moss won't do much good for the Saints.
Odds: 600 to 1
24. Denver Broncos
9 of 32
The Denver Broncos are quickly turning into one of the leagues worst teams, making it seem unlikely that Randy Moss will end up there. Not only does Randy Moss want to go to a winning team, but Josh McDaniels didn't get along well with another star receiver in Brandon Marshall.
Very unlikely Moss goes to the Broncos.
Odds: 500 to 1
23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
10 of 32
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of the bigger surprises of the 2010 season. However, it is unlikely they will go after Randy Moss despite being in a tough NFC South division.
Led by Mike Williams, Tampa Bay has a young receiving core that wouldn't be able to gain any experience of a trouble character like Randy Moss.
Odds: 450 to 1
22. New York Giants
11 of 32
The New York Giants are another team that is wide receiver heavy, and does not need Randy Moss. Hakeem Nicks, Steve Smith, and Mario Manningham is a young combo of receivers, and for Eli Manning's sake, all he needs to help make the Giants an NFC contender.
Odds: 450 to 1
21. Arizona Cardinals
12 of 32
The Arizona Cardinals are in contention for the NFC West crown, but do not need a receiver such as Randy Moss.
Larry Fitzgerald is one of the best receivers in football, and Early Doucet and Steve Breaston have contributed nicely as second and third options.
Arizona traded Anquan Boldin because they felt they had capable receivers to replace him. They will not go out and sign an aging Randy Moss.
Odds: 400 to 1
20. Philadelphia Eagles
13 of 32
Randy Moss and the Philadelphia Eagles are not a good fit whatsoever. The future at the receiver position is set for years to come, with Desean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin leading the way.
Andy Reid already experimented once with a receiver in Terrell Owens. He will not make that mistake again.
Odds: 400 to 1
19. Detroit Lions
14 of 32
The Detroit Lions are a team that doesn't have much fit for Randy Moss. Not only is the team not a contender that Moss is looking for, but is in an ongoing rebuilding project.
Calvin Johnson is the number one target, and will always be the first guy Matthew Stafford looks toward to.
Odds: 390 to 1
18. Houston Texans
15 of 32
Andre Johnson and the Houston Texans are not a likely destination for Randy Moss.
Johnson, Owen Daniels, and Kevin Walter are enough weapons for the Texans offense.
Moss at the least wants to be involved quite a bit in the offense, and Houston isn't the place for it.
Odds: 360 to 1
17. Dallas Cowboys
16 of 32
The Dallas Cowboys are quickly waiting for the 2010 season to end, which makes it unlikely that a Randy Moss deal happens.
Miles Austin, Jason Witten, Roy Williams, and Dez Bryant is a long receiving unit that wouldn't give Moss much opportunities to make him happy.
Besides, Moss wants to be with a contender this year anyway.
Odds: 350 to 1
16. San Francisco 49ers
17 of 32
Are the San Francisco 49ers about to surprise us all and go after Randy Moss? Despite only having two wins on the year, they are lucky to be in a weak division like the NFC West where they are still in contention.
The offense has been a big question mark the entire season. At this point, it seems unlikely, but it may be time to make a gamble if your Mike Singletary.
Odds: 320 to 1
15. Cincinnati Bengals
18 of 32
Can you ever rule out anything in Cincinnati anymore? Signing Randy Moss seems unlikely, but we thought the same thing about Terrell Owens when it happened late this summer.
Imagine a combination of Moss-Owens-Ochocinco? Bring in Dr.Phil to coach the team!
Odds: 310 to 1
14. New York Jets
19 of 32
The New York Jets always find themselves to be rumored in situations like these. ESPN reported that the Jets expect to make a claim on Randy Moss.
In an ideal world, maybe it makes sense. The Jets could actually use Moss to gain information about the Patriots, and more importantly, create a very good receiving unit with Holmes and Edwards on the side.
However, adding Moss to an already crowded locker room may not be the best thing for anyone involved.
Odds: 300 to 1
13. Miami Dolphins
20 of 32
The Miami Dolphins have been another team rumored to be interested in the services of Randy Moss.
Just like the Jets, Moss could give valuable information to the Dolphins that the Vikings missed out on.
I believe him and Brandon Marshall would actually get plenty of footballs thrown to each other, so it isn't to bad of an idea.
However, both receivers have egos, so that is where I believe Tony Sparano will draw the line.
Odds: 280 to 1
12. San Diego Chargers
21 of 32
Another team in desperate mode that can go after Moss is the San Diego Chargers.
Vincent Jackson has missed half of the 2010 season due to a holdout, and Malcom Floyd may not be as effective before the hamstring injury he suffered.
General manager AJ Smith has done crazy things before, and bringing in a guy like Moss to a warm weather environment and in a weak division could be enough to spark a late run.
Odds: 270 to 1
11. Kansas City Chiefs
22 of 32
The Kansas City Chiefs are another team rumored to be interested in Randy Moss.
This potential move could make sense. Randy Moss and Dwayne Bowe would be a great combination with the running game.
However, I can't see Todd Haley coexisting with Randy Moss as long as Brad Childress. Haley possesses a Bill Parcells mentality, and having arguments with stars in the past wouldn't bold well for a relationship with Randy Moss.
Odds: 250 to 1
10. Carolina Panthers
23 of 32
A Steve Smith- Randy Moss combo in Carolina? Going forward it would be a force to be reckon with for opposing defenses.
With John Fox likely seeing his last year as head coach, at this point any gamble is worth it if it means extra wins on the schedule.
However, it would be tough for Moss to entertain coming to a losing environment, which could go wrong for a young Panthers team.
Odds: 200 to 1
9. Atlanta Falcons
24 of 32
The Atlanta Falcons could be a good destination for Randy Moss. If Moss were to join forces with Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez, the offense for the Falcons might make them the team to beat in the NFC.
With no clear contender in the NFC right now, maybe the Falcons pull the trigger on acquiring Moss and separate themselves from the rest of the pack.
Odds: 150 to 1
8. Jacksonville Jaguars
25 of 32
The Jacksonville Jaguars continue to hang around in the playoff race. After Sunday's win over the Dallas Cowboys, could the Jaguars make a blockbuster move to bring in Randy Moss?
It may be a good situation for him. He would be under the radar on a team that many people don't pay attention to.
Having Moss would also open up holes for Mike Sims Walker and the rest of the young receivers.
More importantly, it sets up the running game of Maurice Jones-Drew.
Odds: 140 to 1
7. Tennessee Titans
26 of 32
The Titans could become a serious player for Randy Moss. Leading receiver Kenny Britt just went down with a hamstring injury, one that expects to hold him out for a quite extended period of time.
With a big need now at the number one receiver slot, Moss could be the perfect fit in the Titans offense and keep the balanced attack one of the best in football.
Odds: 100 to 1
6. Oakland Raiders
27 of 32
Can anyone trust Al Davis anymore? In fact, now that his Oakland Raiders are only two games out of the division lead, maybe he makes a splash and brings in Randy Moss.
Sure, Moss was nothing but trouble in his first stint in Oakland. But Davis may be willing to put the differences aside if Moss can be a number one target that takes plenty of coverage from the secondary and leaves the other young receivers open.
Odds: 90 to 1
5. St. Louis Rams
28 of 32
The St. Louis Rams are suddenly tied for first in the NFC West, and maybe ready to make a move for a number one target.
Bringing in Randy Moss has it's positives and negatives. Moss would love to take on the weak secondary's of the NFC West, and help bring the Rams to the playoffs.
However, Moss's influence could be bad for Sam Bradford, and the Rams won't be a huge threat in the playoffs even if they make the playoffs.
Odds: 80 to 1
4. Seattle Seahawks
29 of 32
Just like the Rams, the Seahawks are in a tight NFC West race. Acquiring Randy Moss could make them the team to beat in the division.
The combination of Moss and Mike Williams would make Matt Hasselbeck a happy quarterback for sure.
Pete Carrol is a players coach, so I can see him and Randy Moss getting along quite well.
Odds: 30 to 1
3. New England Patriots
30 of 32
Randy Moss back to New England already? Don't count it out, as it could be one of the few realilistic options for Moss.
Moss clearly wants to be a Patriot this season, and Bill Belichick will definitely give the agent a call.
Besides, the Patriots wouldn't have to give up anything to get Moss. There is no harm in bringing him back and helping this team keep the best record in football.
Odds: 25 to 1
2. Washington Redskins
31 of 32
The Washington Redskins were interested in Vincent Jackson a few weeks ago, and Randy Moss could be next.
Donovan McNabb is in clear need of a number one receiver to help out tight end Chris Cooley. I also believe the relationship between McNabb and Moss could work out pretty well.
If the Redskins want to stay a contender in the NFC East, adding Randy Moss might do the trick.
Odds: 20 to 1
1. Chicago Bears
32 of 32
The Chicago Bears are a team that could use Randy Moss's services the most.
Lovie Smith is under fire as Bears head coach, and the Bears offense is off to a bad start. Adding Randy Moss gives the Bears a number one option they have been looking for.
More importantly, Moss would be given the chance to get back at the Vikings not once, but twice this season.
Odds: 15 to 1
