UFC: Mike Swick Is Coming Back (Possibly To 185) on January 22nd
Again, you ARE reading the headline correctly.
After an injury forced him out of a dream fight this past April against Matt Serra, Mike Swick was inaccurately diagnosed with a stomach ailment that has been said to affect his diet and cause his weight to drop.
Not only are we here at Bleacher Report MMA proud to report that this is far from the case, but MMA Junkie reports that "The Quick One" may be heading up to Fort Hood, Texas for a potential fight.
An opponent has yet to be confirmed for the TUF 1 alumnus, and even more uncertain is whether the fight will see a return to the middleweight division, but Swick hinted at the return via his Facebook page.
The post reads as follows:
"So there is a UFC Fight for the Troops event in Texas on January 22nd huh? Wonder who will fight on that card? Hmmm..."
At the time of this article, the post was shown to have been posted "12 hours ago".
Again, we don't know where he'll fight—if he'll be staying at welterweight for the fight or if he'll be going back to middleweight—and we certainly don't know who he'll be facing.
All we know for sure is that on January 22nd, Mike Swick will make his return to the UFC, and the middleweights and welterweights of the division better prepare themselves.
When "The Quick One" comes back, he'll be coming home, and unless you're Carlos Condit, you won't want to try your luck at a guy like Swick in front of his home crowd.
