Randy Moss Cut: Vikings Release Pro Bowl WR After Just 4 Games
Is this the year for bizarre story lines or what?
The NFL—all of a sudden—decides to take concussions seriously, star players are lost for the season, strange quarterback controversies in Philadelphia, Buffalo, Jacksonville, and Washington, the 1-6 Dallas Cowboys, Brett Favre's ankle, Brett Favre's cell phone, Jenn Sterger, the list goes on!
I think we all knew that the Vikings were only planning to rent Moss for the season, but only four games? Why bother! Come on, guys!

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
In the week leading up to Week 5, Minnesota obtained Moss from the New England Patriots for a 2011 third-round pick. The Vikings were in desperate need of help at receiver with Sidney Rice still on the mend from hip surgery.
Unfortunately, it hasn't worked out in Minnesota. Since the Moss trade, the Vikings are 1-3 and have lost ground in the NFC North. Probably not what head coach Brad Childress had in mind when he obtained the future Hall of Fame wideout just weeks ago.
Moss with the Vikings:
13 receptions, 174 yards, two touchdowns.
Where does Moss go from here?
He can go anywhere as long as he clears waivers first. Minnesota must place Moss on waivers for 24 hours. During the 24-hour window, all 32 teams will have the option to claim him. If he is claimed by multiple teams, then the team who is highest on the waiver priority list is awarded the claim and is responsible for his contract.
If Moss goes unclaimed, he can then sign with any team with the Vikings on the hook for his contact.
Teams thought to be interested in Randy Moss?
Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams, New England Patriots...
The waiver deadline is 4 p.m. EST Tuesday. If he isn't claimed, you can be sure that multiple teams will be interested in signing Moss.
Until then...
