Peyton Drops Out Of Top 3 QB in Latest Rankings

So we have one more fantasy football draft weekend coming up before the start of the NFL season.  Is this the year that we see a common QB handcuff in Jim Sorgi to Peyton Manning?  Manning’s bum knee has caused him to fall out of the top 3 at QB and the other Colts skill position players take a hit as well in this round of the re-draft rankings update.

Quarterback:

It really didn’t feel right typing it but things change.  With Peyton Manning’s knee the way it is we could see him possibly miss a couple of weeks, in return knocking some points off for him in the season…in turn making him a little bit mortal.  There are a couple of other guys that are healthy that have a stable of talent around them that have moved past Manning this week.  We will be watching him this week and this could change again by next weekend.

Running Back:

Steven Jackson is back shaking up the top 5.  In news not SJax, but related for me, I am totally on the Marion Barber train.  I have had him sitting on a couple of Dynasty rosters for a couple years now.  Now he gets his shot, he is looking killer, and he is paired with SJAX on both of those rosters.  Life is appearing good right now.

What?  Ronnie Brown but no Ricky Williams?  To be honest the starter at the beginning of the season does not mean much here.  They are likely to finish with very similar point totals.

Wide Receiver:

Reggie Wayne does not drop far but he does.  This season injury and suspensions are having people show on the rankings lower than you would normally think.  You can attribute this to lost points over the course of the season.  WR is taking a hit.

Tight End:

As crazy as it sounds, JaMarcus Russell to Zach Miller could be a nice little surprise hook up this season.  Dallas Clark feels a little bit of the Peyton knee while Owen Daniels takes a little boost with the Texans offense clicking.
