The Original 2008 College Football Championship Series: Final Four
After a great season, we are down to the Final Four teams, as voted by readers. Last week was the quartefinals, the top eight teams in the nation playing for the national championship.
We are now down to four, and it's up to you to keep voting for the national champion.
Here's how the quarterfinals played out, voted upon by you:
QUARTERFINALS BRACKET ONE
No. 1 Southern Cal Trojans 12-0 (52%) vs. No. 8 Auburn Tigers 11-2 (48%)
In a very close call, Southern Cal moves on past Auburn in a barn-burner.
No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes 11-1 (67%) vs. No. 5 West Virginia Mountaineers 10-2 (33%)
The Buckeyes roll past the Mountaineers, and are now on their way to a date with the Trojans in a rematch of their Sept. 13 matchup that resulted in OSU's only loss.
QUARTERFINALS BRACKET TWO
No. 2 Florida Gators 13-0 (90%) vs. No. 7 Wisconsin Badgers 11-1 (10%)
In a complete runaway, the Gators had no problem with the Badgers and are moving on.
No. 3 Oklahoma Sooners 13-0 (72%) vs. No. 6 Clemson Tigers 10-3 (28%)
The Sooners took care of business against Clemson, now Stoops faces his old team.
