NFL Fantasy Football Week 8 Rankings: Wide Receivers
Week 7 turned out to be a scoring spree for wide receivers. Seven wide receivers had two touchdowns or more on Sunday and 36 total touchdowns were scored by wide receivers.
This production likely elated some owners, and caused others great dismay, especially if their team was up against the likes of wide receivers Roddy White or Kenny Britt. Dallas Cowboys’ rookie Dez Bryant showed off his future potential on Monday Night Football scoring three touchdowns.
Young receivers start to discover their role in their respective offenses at this point in the season, so it will be interesting to see what green receivers start performing in the coming weeks.
Okay enough with the week that was, let’s take a look at the Fantasy Football Week 8 Wide Receiver Rankings.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
1. Calvin Johnson (Detroit Lions) vs. Washington
Before the Detroit Lions' bye week, Megatron had a three-game scoring binge that accumulated 51 total fantasy points.
A confident Johnson now faces a Washington Redskins defense that has allowed the second most passing yards per game this season (292.1) and the sixth most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers (24.7). Against a lackluster Redskins defense, you can expect he strong arm of quarterback Matthew Stafford to sending bombs to Johnson all day.
The dynamic Johnson is in for a big game against the Washington Redskins on Sunday.
Point Projection: 18 points
2. Reggie Wayne (Indianapolis Colts) vs. Houston
Reggie! Reggie! Reggie! Free cheers for Wayne! He has the second most receptions (45) and the third most receiving yards (602) among wide receivers this season. The Houston Texans’ secondary has been a tragedy this season allowing the second most fantasy points (26.7) to opposing wide receivers.
With tight end Dallas Clark out for the season and wide out Austin Collie likely to miss several weeks (hand), Peyton Manning is going to have to rely more heavily on his right hand man in Wayne
Look for Wayne to be one of the best wide receivers in Week 8.
Point Projection: 18 points
3. Brandon Marshall (Miami Dolphins) @ Cincinnati
Marshall followed up a superb Week 6 with a so-so Week 7. He had five receptions for 57 yards against the relentless Pittsburgh Steelers’ defense. Through six games, Marshall has averaged seven receptions and a solid 12.5 yards per catch.
Look for the super talented Marshall to play motivated football against a Cincinnati Bengals’ defense that has allowed 32 receptions for 432 yards and four touchdowns to wide receivers over the last two games.
