NFL Power Rankings Week 8: Focus on The New England Patriots

Over at my site—www.GuysNation.com—I do a weekly power ranking of all 32 NFL teams.  It's a hugely subjective process in which I try to account for a team's strength of schedule, margin of victory, good wins and bad losses.

Where do the New England Patriots currently rank?

Last week, they were ranked sixth, but more than any other team, I got comments about the Patriots ranking being wrong—some comments from Patriots fans, others from Jets fans and other teams around the league.

What did the Patriots do in Week 7 to move my opinion in one direction or another?

They won a road game...all the way out on the west coast in San Diego...but there's a problem with that win.

The Chargers are NOT a good team, and the supposedly great New England Patriots only won the game by three points.

That had to be disappointing to Patriots fans.

Still, some people thought the Patriots weren't high enough in my Week 7 Power Rankings, so I wanted to re-evaluate their placement.
