NFL Picks Week 8: Predictions for Every Game This Weekend
Last week was a particularly good week for my picks. Went 10-4, upping my record to 64-41 on the season. So if you're betting on my picks you're making some good money. And since I don't gamble (I only play poker) I wouldn't mind if you send some my way.
Well enough of my pandering, now on to my picks.

I would like to start this pick off by apologizing to the Buffalo Bills and all their fans. I picked them to receive a terrible beating at the hands of the Ravens (apparently the Broncos were to suffer that fate) and not only did the Bills hang in there, they were just one play (probably) from driving down the field to win the game in overtime.
However the schedule doesn't get any easier this week as they travel to the surprising Kansas City Chiefs.
After last week's near upset a sexy pick right now might be to pick the Bills in a upset, but they'll have to do more than come up short in overtime to make me think they're going to beat any team with a winning record.
Chiefs win 20-14.

DeAngelo Hall's record tying four interception day in Chicago saved the Redskins offense that was terrible last Sunday.
Luckily for the 'Skins they only have to travel to Detroit this week to play the 1-5 Lions.
Sure these Lions are better than the previous years and they beat the Redskins last season, but these Redskins find ways to win games and have slugged it out with some of the better teams in the NFL this season.
Detroit gets Matthew Stafford back but he'll have a lot to deal with with a Redskin team that is going to blitz early and often.
Redskins win 21-10.

The Dolphins were one unfortunate call away from beating the Steelers last week, and the Bengals bungled their way through most of their game against Atlanta.
The Bengals' two diva receivers seem to have more fun on their television show then they do on the football field, which is probably why there team is 2-4, and I'll repeat this for T.O. since he wasn't sure last week, you're team is 2-4.
The Dolphins have trouble scoring in the red zone, but they took it to the Steelers, the Bengals haven't taken it to anyone.
Phins 16-13.

Denver got stomped by Oakland, and the 49ers let another game slip away and lost Alex Smith. Both of these teams look hapless and picking a winner is quite difficult really.
I wouldn't be surprised if the terrible play of both these teams encourages Parliament to pass a law banning the NFL from their shores.
But the Niners seem to find new and exciting ways to lose games and are without their starting quarterback so I'm taking the Broncos here, 24-13.

The struggling Green Bay Packers face off against the dominating New York Jets.
At the start of the season this looked to be a Super Bowl preview (and still could be) but where the Jets are flying high the Packers have been hampered by injuries.
Jets' defense guides them to a win, 20-10.
CAR @ STL

Carolina got their first win against the hapless 49ers last week, too bad they won't make it two for two.
Rams win 24-9.

Roy Williams says Jon Kitna is just as good as Tony Romo, I don't know if that's a compliment to Kitna or a put down to Romo, you decide.
In spite of the Cowboys terrible play and the fact that they lost Tony Romo for six to eight weeks they'll actually get their second win of the season this week over a bad Jacksonville team.
Cowboys roll 31-20.
TEN @ SD

The Titans showed guts and came back to beat the Eagles, the Chargers showed they're gutless and handed the game over to the Patriots with way too many mental mistakes.
Titans beat down the Chargers 35-14.

In spite of what their coach thinks the Bucs are not the best team in the NFC, but they are starting to turn skeptics like myself into believers.
This week isn't a real test to see if they are legit, but you have to beat the teams that are put against you, and they will.
Bucs beat the Cards 17-13.
SEA @ OAK

The acquisition of Marshawn Lynch has helped the Seahawks' offense, the acquisition of Jason Campbell (with the exception of last week) hasn't done the same in Oakland.
I'm sure Raider Nation is thinking Super Bowl after their blow out win over Denver, but no, they shouldn't even think playoffs.
Seattle puts them in their place, Seahawks win 21-7.

Randy Moss and his alligator arms return to New England this Sunday as the Vikings take on the Patriots.
The way Minnesota has played and been coached there is no way I can pick them to win this game, and I won't.
Brady and the Patriots not only prove they don't need Randy Moss, but show you they can beat him as well.
Pats win 27-17.
PIT @ NO

I just don't know what is wrong with the defending champs, this is one terrible hangover they're having, and if their offense plays against the Steelers the way the played the Browns this week the NFL may have to institute a mercy rule.
However, the Saints will play better, just not good enough to win. Steelers win 35-24.
HOU @ IND

Our first division rematch this season and it's on Monday Night Football.
In week one I was one of the few that picked the Texans to beat the Colts, so am I going to be the only one to pick them to sweep the Colts?
Not on your life. Where the Colts have gotten better since week one the Texans defense has gotten a lot worse, so much so I'm going to predict a blowout here.
Colts win 42-17.
