It may surprise you to find out what assistant is on the hot seat.
If there's anything else that you want to know about that I didn't touch, feel free to ask about it and I'll get back to you. As always, if you have any other thoughts and comments, don't hesitate to put them in the comments and I'll get back to them.
Seneca Wallace Wants a Decision
1 of 10
Seneca Wallace isn't happy about not knowing who is going to be the starting quarterback for the Browns this Sunday and he wasn't shy about admitting it to the media.
"This isn't college," Wallace said to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "We don't switch quarterbacks in and out. I think when it comes down to rhythm and gelling together, when you have a quarterback in for one week and then the next week it's somebody else, that's not a good situation. You want a guy that's gonna be in there, be able to move the team and continue to do that week to week."
It's good to see that Eric Mangini has grown as a coach since his days in New York. However, if I'm Mangini, I go with Colt McCoy, but that's me.
Sean McDermott on the Way Out in Philly?
2 of 10
Sean McDermott, the successor to the great, late Jim Johnson may have a short-lived tenure in Philadelphia as the defensive coordinator.
According to Sal Paolantonio, who was on local radio station 97.5 The Fanatic, said that Dick Jauron might eventually become the man for the Eagles.
"It comes down to the defensive coordinator," Paolantonio said. "He has some kind of brainlock or whatever it is—lack of judgment, inability to make adjustments on the fly. The head coach was covering for him this week [in a press conference], you heard that."
Louis Murphy Has Bruised Lung
3 of 10
After ProFootballTalk.com reported that Oakland Raiders wideout Louis Murphy has a bruised lung and wouldn't play on Sunday, coach Tom Cable confirmed that Murphy would not be in the lineup.
Cable said that Murphy has a chest contusion near his lung and said that he might not be in the lineup for a couple of weeks as he recovers from the injury. Murphy has been a good target for the carousel of Oakland quarterbacks, so it's a blow to the Raiders.
Don't forget that the Raiders are very much in the hunt for a playoff spot. They'll need Murphy back as soon as possible.
Sidney Rice Makes Progress
4 of 10
After having hip surgery in the offseason that has kept him off the field for the entire season since that point, Minnesota Vikings' wideout Sidney Rice is finally starting to take part in football activities.
Rice was running and catching passes from wide receivers coach George Stewart according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. If Rice can get back soon, it may be able to save Minnesota's season. Rice was Brett Favre's favorite target last year and he's clearly missed him this year.
Something has to change to help the Vikings and this might be it.
Jenn Sterger Friend: I Saw Brett Favre Pictures
5 of 10
Allison Torres, who was one of the Florida State Cowgirls when her and Jenn Sterger were at Florida State, says she was with Sterger the day she got the text messages from Brett Favre.
Torres said the two laughed when it happened and that Favre wasn't the first celebrity who tried to hook up with Sterger. She went on to say that Sterger wasn't exactly annoyed with the fact that Favre kept texting her.
"I just know they kept texting each other back and forth and that he wanted to hook up," Torres said to the New York Post. "I wouldn't doubt she was enjoying the attention from him."
Torres went on to question Favre's judgment.
"I don't know what else to say—even when they were talking back and forth, I was wondering what he was thinking," Torres said. "It was so risky to do what he did. When you send naked pictures of yourself to a 20-year-old girl, you're just asking for trouble."
You don't say.
Malcom Floyd May Not Play Until Week 11
6 of 10
Malcom Floyd is suffering from a hamstring injury and it's so severe that we may not see the wideout until Week 11.
Floyd is expected to be miss at least one more game and could be out through the bye week according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. Floyd is just one of many of Philip Rivers' targets to go down to an injury and it's getting ugly for the Chargers.
We'll see if Rivers and company can get a big win against the Titans on Sunday.
Austin Collie Out For Week 8
7 of 10
Austin Collie is out this week after having surgery on his injured hand, and we may be getting used to that for some time.
The Colts said they expect the wideout to miss a couple of weeks and there is no timetable for his return to the field. Peyton Manning is going to miss him and his tight end Dallas Clark, who is out for the rest of the season with a hand and wrist injury.
It's been a season of bad luck for the Colts.
Further Discipline Not Ruled Out For Kenny Britt
8 of 10
After getting into a bar fight during the week leading up to Tennessee's game against Philadelphia and being benched for the first quarter and change, Jeff Fisher did not rule out further discipline for wideout Kenny Britt.
Fisher told the media that he hopes to have the matter resolved by the end of this week. He also said that he's trying to gather more information about the incident, and that nothing has changed since the game this past Sunday.
However, after his performance against the Eagles, I wouldn't count on him being benched again.
Michael Vick Doesn't Know If He Can Take a Hit
9 of 10
With Michael Vick set to return to the starting lineup after sitting out the past couple of weeks with a rib cartilage injury, he still doesn't know how he's going to handle being hit.
"I don't know if I can take a hit yet, but I can throw the ball strong," Vick said to the Wilmington News-Journal. "I think I have some more time to heal and some more time to just get stronger, so I'll stay in the weight room and continue to do the things that helped me get to this point."
It's a gutsy move to go away from Kevin Kolb under center yet again, but Kolb should plan like he's starting because no one is sure how long Vick will be able to play, not even Vick himself.
Brett Favre Wants To Try and Play
10 of 10
Brett Favre is suffering from an ankle injury that he suffered last week against Green Bay, but don't think that it's going to end the streak any time soon.
"I'm willing to give it a try," Favre said to the media. "I want to play, and I want to help this team win. I'm more committed today than I was before the injury. I've done it in the past, and I can do it again."
Well it sounds like Favre's playing. Do you honestly think Brad Childress is going to end one of the most impressive, if not the most impressive iron man streak in sports? Childress is spineless and he's not going to rip Favre off the field for Tarvaris Jackson.
As long as Favre's breathing, he's playing.
