Manny Pacquiao Vs. Antonio Margarito: 10 Reasons To Go See the Fight In Dallas

King JOct 28, 2010

Alright fight fans we are just two weeks away from the final super mega fight of the year. The number one pound for pound fighter in the world Manny Pacquiao vs Antonio Margarito fighting November 13th at the world famous Dallas Cowboys stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Despite the almost unanimous popularity for the Congress Man Pacquiao there are a number of fight fans who are quite upset with this fight and even some are claiming they will allegedly boycott the fight with Margarito mostly due to his illegal hand wrapping scandal. Others are also a bit displeased that Manny the significantly smaller man will be going up to fight for the 154 lb lineal title at a catch weight limit.

So with these reasons that some may be upset with this fight happening, I say lets make a list of reasons to go see the fight not only on HBO PPV but to go and make the journey to Texas to see this fight live in person come November 13th.

Here are 10 Reasons To Go See Manny Pacquiao VS Antonio Margarito In Dallas, Texas.

1. The New Dallas Cowboys Stadium

The new Dallas Cowboys stadium is nothing short of amazing.

It cost more than a billion dollars and it is the largest domed stadium in the world which can pack in over 110,000 fans.

It has the largest HD screen in the world that hangs from the 20 yard line to the 20 yard line.

They say everything is bigger in Texas and this is a perfect example.

Just to be here in a sold out night full of energy from all the fight fans must be surreal.

2. Possible Historic Record Breaking Crowd Attendance

The Pacquiao vs Margarito fight can very well break some records in fight crowd attendance.

Again the stadium is said to be able to hold 110,000 fans and by fudging the fire code laws and tweaking certain areas I am sure they can even expand that number.

The current record for largest indoor fight attendance was held by the 1978 Muhammad Ali vs Leon Sprinks fight which took place in Louisiana at the Superdome with 63,315 fans in attendance.

Manny is arguably the most famous boxer in the world right now and you add his Mexican opponent who can bring in the masses of Mexican fans due to the highly populated Mexican community in Texas and of course the location of the border.

These are all reasons why this fight may very well smash the previous record.

You can brag to your grand children that you were there that night in the biggest fight crowd record breaking night and make them think their grandpa was so cool!

3. Possible Record Breaking 8th Weight Division Title

Currently Congress Man Manny is the only one to hold the record for 7 weight division titles and most lineal titles as well.

On November 13th he will be going for an even more impossible 8th weight division title.

This record will probably never be beaten since Manny is a one of a kind beast or even freak of nature.

It will take another small guy with massive calves and ridiculous: power, speed, hunger to even come close to matching these records.

Again you can brag to your grand kids that I was there!

4. This Is Not Joshua Clottey, This Will Be Exciting!!!

Despite the criticisms of this match up. One thing that everyone can agree upon is that this fight will indeed be exciting.

Both of these fighters are exciting to watch. They do not back up, they do not run, they do not hug, they do not cry to the ref for every little thing.

These are two warriors who come to fight and love to throw punches non stop and they are all offense and not defense minded fighters.

Many casual fans who flocked to the Cowboys stadium last time may have found themselves to be a bit discontent about Joshua Clottey covering up and not opening up to trade at all.

This will not be the case for Margarito who has said himself he would rather die in the ring than to quit.

They say DO NOT MESS WITH TEXAS, well that saying may be true for certain things but when it comes to their beautiful women I say we can bend the rules.

When you are as good looking, smooth, and have mad swagger such as the author of this article you should definitely share the love once you touch down in the Lone Star state.

Plus if you play your cards right you may land the hot daughter of a billionaire Oil tycoon. Wink

7. Texas BBQ

7 of 10

One of the many great things Texas is known for is their BBQ.

Where ever you live there always seems to be a BBQ joint that claims they are a Texas BBQ joint which implies that Texas BBQ is excellent.

I have not had the honor of eating Texas BBQ yet, but you best believe soon as my plane touches down in Dallas it is ON!

9. Dunkin Donuts!

8 of 10

Yes Dunkin Donuts! You may be saying to yourself WHAT?  But hey if you live in the state of California like myself you are at a true disadvantage for there are NO Dunkin Donuts in the state of California.

But guess what fight fans? There is Dunkin Donuts in Texas.

Also I do not want to jinx it but word is the Dallas Cowboy stadium has Dunkin Donuts in their stadium!

WOOO HOOO!

9. Watch Margarito Get Punished

9 of 10

For those of you who are allegedly claiming you will be boycotting this fight because of the cheating disgraceful Margarito then what better way to get it all off your chest by seeing Margarito get his ass kicked? In the largest domed stadium in the world in front of probably the biggest fight crowd in history?

It makes the most sense to me.

10. The Over All Card Will Be Good

The Pacquiao vs Margarito main event will definitely be action packed and exciting as I explained in slide 4.

But guess what the under card will be not too shabby itself.

On the under card we have according to Boxing Rec:
