Should Manny Pacquiao Fire Freddie Roach If He Loses To Antonio Margarito?

There are 17 days before Manny Pacquiao is set to fight Antonio Margarito.  His trainer, Freddie Roach, is worried that his fighter will not be ready.

For all it's worth, Roach is showing some doubt because Pacquiao is juggling too many things at once.

He wants Pacquiao to focus on his training, but the Pac-Man has to have time to tend to family and his political duties.

As a Filipino congressman, Pacquiao must act like he's interested in government business, which is secondary to his first love of his primary job, which is boxing.

Look, Manny said he'll be ready for Margarito.  Roach is lacking confidence that's based on his fighter scaling back on the training schedule.

Manny isn't Mike Tyson.  He won't take training lightly and then show up sluggish in the ring to lose to Margarito.

But if Pacquiao loses, should he fire Roach?

I think that Pacquiao should get a proven trainer when he prepares himself for Floyd Mayweather.  Floyd Sr. would be a good choice to train the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

Pacquiao and Roach have been together too long, and their relationship is a little strained.  Doesn't Pacquiao get the hint that Roach trained some losing fighters (Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton)?

Anyways, Pacquiao is going to win the fight.  He left the door open for Floyd Jr.  I think Floyd Jr. better get to Manny before he calls it quits for good.

Pacquiao doesn't need a fight with Mayweather to define his legacy.  Forget Mayweather.  All I'm saying is if he doesn't beat Margarito, he can blame it on the trainer.
