Kansas City Chiefs' Halloween Treat: Team Spooks the Buffalo Bills
The Kansas City Chiefs look to force a two game winning streak as they welcome the worst team in the NFL into Arrowhead—the Buffalo Bills.
The Chiefs have been blazing hot offensively after scoring 31 and 42 points respectively over the last two weeks. The majority of that success stems from fluid play calling from offensive coordinator Charlie Weis.
Weis may have chosen some questionable play calls in key moments against the Houston Texans, but he has been fantastic at allowing quarterback Matt Cassel to make the reads that are comfortable to him and switching up the rushing tandem of Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Cassel may have been put under the microscope when the 2010 season began. Every fan and writer in the business had some kind of opinion on him. And with all the heat he endured last year, he has been on fire for the majority of the squads six games.
In fact, Cassel leads the NFL in passer rating over the last four games with a spooky 108.9 QB rating. Some people may say it's because the Chiefs have faced two of the worst pass defenses in the league the past couple of weeks.
But it has more to do with Weis putting Cassel in a position to succeed, by keeping the passes simple and effectively calling a pass in situations that the defense has stacked the box to stop Charles or Jones.
With all due respect to the extraordinary play of Cassel, the Chiefs will win this game on the ground once again.
Kansas City not only fields the NFL's best rushing attack, they are a creepy 17.3 rushing yards per game ahead of the second place team, the New York Jets.
With the frightening jukes and speed that Charles emanates, and the magical vision Jones carries, Kansas City will have no problem destroying a Bills team that ranks dead last in stopping the run.
Defensively for Buffalo, the Chiefs must be weary of corner back Leodis McKelvin, and linebacker Paul Posluszny.
McKelvin has shown the ability to get on his broom and take it to the house at any point of the game, so keeping the ball out of his hands will be a key factor.
Posluszny currently ranks second on the team in tackles with 34, and although he's no superstar, he's a young player with tons of potential that could bust out during any game. Setting the blocks on Posluszny in the second level of the defense will allow Charles to break off some big runs.
The most scary stat against Buffalo of all is that they've allowed 33 points per game this season, easily the worst in football.
Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick may have been a Harvard grad, but he's got the savvy style to know how to make plays with his feet and create plays outside of the system.
Fitzpatrick currently ranks in the top five of the NFL in passer rating over the last four weeks, so he's not somebody to take lightly.
In the backfield for Buffalo they possess one of the most electric young studs in football, named C.J. Spiller.
He has the ability to line up as a wide receiver, in the backfield and return kicks as well. He has the speed to beat nearly any defender, yet his lack of experience will keep him corralled for the most part.
Running back Fred Jackson will get the majority of the carries.
Defensively for Kansas City, the young group led by Romeo Crennel has been outstanding to say the least.
Corner back Brandon Flowers is the best in the NFL to this point.
Yes, I said it, the 5'9" Flowers is the best.
Pass rusher Tamba Hali continues to grow into his role as a relentless quarterback nightmare. On the back end, rookie safety Eric Berry finally received his first interception against Jacksonville and will prove again this week that Berry is "scary".
In conclusion, the 0-6 Buffalo Bills will without a doubt put up a huge fight.
After all, they nearly beat Super Bowl contender last week, the Baltimore Ravens. But with that disgruntling loss, the Bills gave every ounce they had and came away disappointed.
The Chiefs are an opportunistic team that will find a way to get the victory. They might win by 20 points, or it might be by a field goal, but good teams find a way to win games, and Kansas City is about to turn that corner and put the doubters into the coffin for good.
