Cleveland Browns Mid-Season Mock Draft (For the Heck Of It)
Hey Browns Fans, how about this? Just for the heck of it let's go ahead and do a seven-round Cleveland Browns mock draft! Please go ahead and comment on what u think and voice your opinion. Make sure u follow me on Twitter at @Scarlson29 also and tell me what u think. I hope you enjoy this slideshow.
1st Round Draft Pick: A.J. Green, WR, Georgia 6'4
1 of 7
This kid has some freakish ability as a wide receiver for Georgia. Yes I know he got in trouble but he seems like a low risk/high reward type of player. Also his game with his speed, quickness, and ability to go get the ball reminds me so much of Randy Moss.
He would come right in and become Cleveland's new number one WR and would help let other guys get open like Massaquoi, Cribbs, and Stuckey.
2nd Round Draft Pick Demarcus Love, OT, Arkansas 6'4
2 of 7
Demarcus Love is an absolute beast when it comes to range and athleticism and is a better pass-blocker then a run-blocker. He also maintains good size as well, allowing him to play RT for the Cleveland Browns, who are very weak on the right side of the Offensive Line.
3rd Round Draft Pick: Greg Romeus, DE, Pittsburgh 6'5
3 of 7
I believe Greg Romeus is one of the best pass-rushing DE's in the 2011 NFL Draft. Making him a good player to fix Cleveland's biggest problem on defense, and that is getting pressure on the QB in passing situations. Romeus also has great motor and will not quit until play is over.
4th Round Draft Pick: Chimdi Chekwa, CB, Ohio State 5'11
4 of 7
Chimdi Chekwa is a great steal at this point in the draft. I think his ball hawking abilities can make him a good number two cornerback for Cleveland and this will also help rest team by moving Eric Wright over to Nickel to cover slot. Also moving Sheldon Brown over to FS to take the job away from a poor player in Abe Elam.
5th Round Draft Pick Alex Wujciak, MLB, Maryland 6'2
5 of 7
Cleveland is either hurt or old at MLB position so adding a guy like Alex Wujciak would be good for depth. Wukciak has quietly made a name for himself over in maryland with 130 tackles in each of last two seasons.
6th Round Draft Pick James Rodgers, WR, Oregon State 5'8
6 of 7
James Rodgers is great pick this late after suffering injury that took him from a 4th round value to a very late round value. He reminds me of a poor mans Wes Welker with his small size, toughness, and ability to play the slot well in NFL.
7th Round Draft Pick Colin Kaepernick, QB, Nevada 6'4
7 of 7
Has had great college career and he can both run and throw the ball. He reminds me of a taller and younger Seneca Wallace and could make a good career NFL back-up
