Fantasy Football Week 7: Ranking the Top 5 Performances
This week in the NFL was crazy and that means one thing, millions of happy fantasy football players.
This week featured a QB, RB and WR who all toppled 40 points and many fell just below that standard too.
So let's jump in and take a look at the top performers of Week 7 in the NFL.
Just try not to get into a bar fight on your way to the next slide (See Kenny Britt).
5. Lee Evans, Buffalo Bills, WR
1 of 5
Evans busted out with six catches for 105 yards and three touchdowns against a stingy Ravens' defense.
His quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick, didn't fail to disappoint either and looked Evans' way early and often, especially in the red zone.
Evans is a decent flex in most 10 team formats, but if he and Fitzpatrick continue to show a connection, then Evans could see a big increase in numbers.
He's a sleeper to watch out for.
4. Roddy White, Atlanta Falcons, WR
2 of 5
Roddy came out strong and showed up the TOcho Show in Cincinnati with 11 catches for 201 yards and two touchdowns.
White said that he was looking to 'come out strong' against the Bengals because of the players they have and he wanted to prove that he is in fact an elite receiver.
Well folks, he did just that.
I'd bump White up in all fantasy leagues and he is fully entrenched as a WR-1 for the rest of the season.
I may even venture to say either he, Hakeem Nicks, or Miles Austin could venture to be the No. 1 WR in fantasy all season.
Just some food for thought.
3. Carson Palmer, Cincinnati Bengals, QB
3 of 5
Carson Palmer led all fantasy QB's Sunday by going 36/50 for 412 yards and three touchdowns in a loss to the Falcons.
Palmer responded to the challenge set by Matt Ryan and Roddy White as he gave productive fantasy days to Terrell Owens, Chad Ochocinco and rookie Jordan Shipley.
Palmer benefited from playing a terrible Atlanta Falcons pass defense, so temper your expectations.
Despite that, keep Palmer as a top 15 QB and watch for his beneficial matchups.
2. Kenny Britt, Tennessee Titans, WR
4 of 5
Kenny Britt destroyed the Eagles pass defense as he went for 225 yards on seven catches and notched three touchdowns including one that was an 80-yard bomb.
After facing a possible suspension for the game, coach Jeff Fisher didn't play Britt until midway through the 2nd quarter, and yet Britt managed an astronomical game.
Just imagine if he played all four quarters?
There is word that Britt may still face a suspension or punishment for his act in a bar fight early Friday morning, but still if Britt is available then pick him up immediately as he will be a hot commodity.
1. Darren McFadden, Oakland Raiders, RB
5 of 5
Did ya miss me?
Apparently the Oakland Raiders offense did as Run DMC came in and ran for 165 yards on 16 carries and notched three touchdowns against the Broncos. Note that he also tacked on two catches for 31 yards and another touchdown.
A monster game for McFadden as the Broncos had no solution for DMC and they found themselves in a 21-0 hole half-way through the first quarter.
Bump McFadden up in your fantasy leagues as he came off of injury and took a majority of the carries in Oakland and he should be set for an incredible second half of the season.
McFadden is firmly in top 10 RB territory.
