Tennessee Titan Kenny Britt Did More in Three Quarters Than He Did in Six Games

Kevin HansonOct 24, 2010

As a disciplinary measure, Tennessee Titans receiver Kenny Britt was out of the starting lineup due to his (alleged) involvement in a bar fight that begin with a friend (allegedly) sucker-punching someone else early Friday morning.

As a consequence Britt didn't see game action until midway through the second quarter.

What Britt did when he was in the game was more than any other receiver has done through 60 full minutes this season.

Britt, who was the team's first-round pick last year, finished with seven receptions for 225 yards and three touchdowns against the Eagles today.

Not only has no receiver before Britt had a 225-yard performance this season, Britt had only 209 receiving yards in his first six games this season.

For a fifth consecutive game, Britt has scored a touchdown.

After next week's tough matchup against the Chargers, who have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers, it's all downhill from there.

From Week 10 to 16 (fantasy championship in most leagues), Britt and the Titans face the Texans and Jaguars in three of seven weeks. No team has allowed more fantasy points to opposing receivers than the Texans and Jaguars.

His other four matchups from Week 10 to 16 are the Redskins (sixth-most fantasy points allowed to receivers), Dolphins (12th-most), Colts (19th-most) and Chiefs (20th-most).
