WWE Bragging Rights Results: Thoughts, Analysis and Guessing What Is Next
I just want to start off by stating that I have recently became a father of a beautiful baby boy and I may not be able to write as many articles as before because of my duties as a father.
This article is all about MY thoughts on WWE's second annual Bragging Rights!
So let's get right to it...

Fresh Backstage WWE Rumors 👊

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
The show opened with Vickie walking down the ramp with amazing heat piling up on her as she introduces us to her boyfriend, Dolph Ziggler.
First Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Daniel Bryan; Interpromotional match. US Title vs. IC Title
Daniel Bryan made his way to the ring with his impressive theme music and as always Michael Cole is TRYING to bash our US Champion, Daniel Bryan.
Can't wait to watch this match!
Very good grapples both men early on in this match. There is an odd big match feel about this match that really, means nothing.
Vickie looks distracted or uncomfortable or something I am not sure what it is but she does not look as she normally does whilst she cheers her lover on.
How sick was Daniel's drop kick to Ziggler's face?
A very back and fourth match that was very hard to call either way.
I find it very odd that Cole is not cheering Bryan on due to the fact that they are both members of RAW but Cole seems to appear on SmackDown every Friday so maybe he has trouble remember where he is assigned to.
Ziggler seem to be working on Daniel Bryan's higher back and neck should we be expecting a sleeper hold or a Zig-Zag.
The fans are very tuned in this high impacted match as Daniel Bryan continuously gains momentum.
I can't predict a winner to be honest with you; both men are in top form.
What a counter. I was convinced Ziggler has the win for a moment as he dramatically pulled Bryan off the top turnbuckle.
Ziggler got a three count after an odd offensive move but it is not a win; Bryan's foot was on the bottom rope.
Daniel Bryan is failing but he reaches the ropes just in time after Ziggler executes his sleeper hold.
Lebell locke is locked in, in full strength, and your winner as Ziggler submits is Daniel Bryan.
Winner: Daniel Bryan
First Segment—The Miz is Bragging about his leadership and Sheamus interferes as does CM Punk and both men remind Miz of their accolades and how Rey pinned Miz last Friday on SmackDown.
Santino joins the debate and the fans are delighted; he makes a cheap joke about snacks and beverages.
Punk reminds The Miz of the time he spent on SmackDown and how well he knows it.
Segment closes with Miz looking pretty confident.
Second Match—Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre vs. John Cena and David Otunga; WWE Tag Titles are on the line
Before the match both men are bragging about being Champions, and then Cole receives an e-mail from the RAW GM.
The GM announces Rhodes and McIntyre will defend their titles...
Wade introduces David Otunga and his partner, John Cena (very mixed reaction from the crowd when his name is mentioned).
I knew Cena would be given a match as well as being featured in the World Title picture, typical WWE.
David Otunga and Cody Rhodes start in the ring, and the match is on.
A quick tag to Drew confuses Otunga and the champs have the advantage early on in this contest.
Otunga tags in Cena and he dominates Rhodes before Cody counters quickly and so far, Rhodes has been very impressive.
Their is friction between the "A-Lister" David Otunga and John Cena, as can be expected due to Cena's hatred towards the group.
Is this the first time we have ever seen Drew and Cena in the ring together?
I think so.
Cena gains momentum but Cody tags Drew back in and Cena delivers a five-knuckle Shuffle.
Drew tag Cody back in and Cena look in the STFU and Rhodes submits"
Winner and new WWE Tag Team Champions: David Otunga and John Cena
After the match Cena delivers an "AA" to Otunga and he sells it well.
A trailer for Show's film is aired and it looks decent.
Third Match: Goldust vs. Ted DiBiase
I must add that Ted's theme music is brilliant and so Maryse looks brilliant to say the least.
Goldust comes out with Aksanna, his beautiful fiancee, who is facing deportation and an NXT wedding is coming as King reminds us.
Goldust looks very well in the ring, considering he is not getting any younger, and DiBiase just seems to be disappointing me more and more every week as he brawls with The Bizzare One.
I cannot say for certain but I am almost 100 percent sure I saw this match a couple of months ago on Superstars.
Well nonetheless, DiBiase has Goldust locked in a head lock as Maryse and Askanna seem to be trash talking on the outside.
DiBiase delivers a brilliant drop kick and almost got a three count.
Goldust is hinting for the Final Cut but DiBiase counters and delivers a spin buster and Goldust again kicks out just before three.
Maryse beats upon Aksanna and throws in the ring witch distracts Goldust and DiBiase got the win after connecting with his affective finisher.
Winner: Ted DiBiase
After the match, Aksanna has Ted's title and looks like she is making a move on him, but only for Goldust to come from behind and deliver The Final Cut.
Next, LayCool! Wahoo. (Sarcasm)
Layla and McCool bash the fans and Natalya.
Fourth Match: Layla vs. Natalya; Divas Championship on the line
I hope, I really hope Natalya beats this fool and shuts both of their mouths.
When it come to in-ring ability, Natalya deserves the title without a shadow of a doubt.
Natalya seems to have a lot of backing from the fans and good for her.
McCool tries an attack but Natalya stops her excellently and gains some momentum in the meantime.
Layla starts dry humping Natalya, and I would not complain if we seen several slow motion repeats of that.
Layla tries to exit the arena but Natalya stop her and drags her back in the ring.
Layla wins because of Michelle interfering.
Winner and still champion: Layla
Fifth Match: Undertaker vs Kane; Buried alive match with the World Title on the line
I wonder how much of this match will be influenced by the use of weapons. I am betting Bearer and his urn will have a major affect on the outcome of this match.
The mood is right, and the fans are as excited as I am. The match is under way with both men beating each other on the ramp as Taker attacks Kane as he make his way to the ring.
I am going to make a bold prediction and say Undertaker for the win despite Kane's clear power through this whole rivalry.
Undertaker is in control early in this match and the fans are roaring we want blood but I highly doubt we will see any!
As Kane tries to make his way to his feet Taker throws some chairs into the ring and this match is getting exciting as Taker delivers his signature leg drop across a weakened Kane.
Taker picks up a chair and Kane cowardly and quickly departs the ring.
Both men begin brawling outside and the brawl make it's way into the crowd and I must say the crowd is going mad.
Kane grabs a chair without Taker seeing and whacks his brother with it twice in the torso and the crowd's mood has rapidly changed as Kane delivers two more chair shots in a similar area.
Kane then connects with an amazing chock slam!
The match goes up towards that open grave and I just want to add that so far this PPV has been great with the exception of the result of the Layla/Natalya match.
Taker attempts to throw Kane into the grave but Kane counters.
Heel gate is locked in and Kane fades but before Taker buries him The Deadman goes after Bearer and then Nexus interfere but Taker fights them off and this confusing and a bit odd to be honest.
Nexus hold Taker and Kane hit him with the urn and Taker end up in the GRAVE and Nexus begin burying Taker but Kane orders them to leave and a truck loaded with tons of dirt on Taker and Kane get the win!
Winner and still World Champion: Kane!
Next, Josh Matthews interviews Orton and the Champ warns Cena he will have no problem TKOing him if he does interfere in the main event.
Sixth Match: Team RAW (The Miz, CM Punk, John Morrison, Ezekiel Jackson, Santino Marella, R-Truth and Sheamus) vs. Team SmackDown (The Big Show, Rey Mysterio, Jack Swagger, Tyler Reks, Kofi Kingston, Alberto Del Rio and Edge); Elimination Tag Team match for the Bragging Rights trophy
Morrison and Tyler Reks start off in the ring and Reks is looking pretty strong. I have a strong feeling about this guy; he is all over Morrison at the moment.
Morrison tags in Santino and this may be a mistake as Santino wastes too much time gloating and ends up on the mat. Reks eliminates Santino.
Big Zek is in the ring for the departed Santino and this guy ids a monster and also the last ever ECW World Champion.
Kofi and Rey enter the ring but the strength of Zek proves just too strong and he dominates both men before tagging in the Celtic Warrior Sheamus, and the former WWE Champion is all over Kingston.
Kingston gained momentum and the young star is now dominating Sheamus, but The Celtic Warrior countered and eliminated Kingston and Rey enters for the departed Kingston.
Del Rio angers Mysterio by tagging himself in and some good action from Punk and Del Rio now in the ring and Del Rio has injured Mysterio and it looks as if Rey night has ended early and Del Rio tags Swagger in.
JoMo almost eliminates Swagger with a brilliant high-flying move but the all-American, American kicks out just before the ref reaches the three count.
JoMo pins Swagger after an incredible Starship Pain and Sheamus right after eliminats Tyler Reks after a Brogue Kick.
Big Show enters the ring with huge energy and is killing Sheamus before both men were counted out after Big Show continuously attacked Sheamus.
Edge and Del Rio are all what is left for Team Blue whilst RAW have just lost R-Truth after a spear and Morrison then received a spear and is also eliminated.
Two against three in favour of RAW and now it is Punk and Del Rio in the ring and after a back slide from Punk; Del Rio is in trouble and as of now it is three vs. one, but Rey returns and it is all even, well almost.
Zek is now in the ring with Edge and is looking very impressive.
Edge tags in Rey and the crowd is ecstatic until Punk cuts the momentum with a close line.
It connects, and Punk is now eliminated, leaving it Edge and Rey vs. Ezekiel and The Miz.
Zek and Rey now in the ring and Zek has the upper hand.
Zek is now eliminated after a sloppy 619 (Rey is lucky that was not Randy or he may have found himself unemployed).
Edge spears The Miz to get the win and SmackDown are now (I suppose) the A-Show
Winner: Team SmackDown; Edge pinned Miz for the win and Rey was also sole survivor along with obviously, the Rated R Superstar Edge
Seventh Match: Wade Barrett vs Randy Orton; WWE Championship on the line
Finally, Cena enter the ring with Nexus and with healthy, heavy boos pointed toward Nexus.
Orton come out to a brilliant reception as cheers filled this stadium very loud.
If Barrett loses, Cena gets fired. As of now I am rooting for Orton due to that announcement.
The match is under way and both men stare each other down before Orton gains a clean advantage over the British No. 1 contender.
The crowd is currently roaring, "FIRE CENA!" I have been a fan of pro wrestling since 1997 and I have never heard any fans in TNA, WWE, WCW, ECW or ROH roar that with such passion.
Wade keeps shouting in Cena's face and The Viper smartly takes advantage of this as any top star would.
Wade has a brilliant viscous streak, is very quick in the ring, and has brilliant mic skills. It is hard to think Barrett will lose.
Barret has been in control for the majority of the match but after a swift drop kick, things have quickly changed and Barret knock the ref down leaving Cena looking very confused. As he enters the ring, Orton gets rid of him.
Nexus comes down and dismantles Orton as the ref remains knocked out and Cena clears Nexus out of the ring and Cena explains to Barrett, "He did not want him to get disqualified."
Orton is now back in control and DDT's Barrett and then Cena runs in and delivers an AA to Wade Barrett.
Winner: Wade Barret (By Disqualification)
Soon after, Orton RKO's Cena and celebrates retaining the title and then he RKOed Wade after Wade was closing in on Orton.
Final Thoughts
5 Guys that impressed me:
Ezekiel Jackson: Big Zek showed amazing strength and aggression before his elimination.
Daniel Bryan: He just seems to get better and better.
Wade Barrett: He proved people wrong tonight with his in-ring ability after many doubter said he had a very limited move-set.
Kane: As I mentioned above I thought Taker would win and Kane shocked me tonight for his ability considering his age.
Drew McIntyre: Considering he lost, he still looked strong and delivered his promo very well.
Best Match
Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler - Back and fourth match that really made me question Vince's awareness as both men could easily step into any main event scene!
Make sure to comment and like as well as become a fan if you have been impressed.
Thanks for reading.
