Buffalo Bills Breaking News: Aaron Maybin Is Healthy a Scratch vs. Ravens
BuffaloBills.com had a report running this morning that Aaron Maybin was a healthy scratch for today's game against the Baltimore Ravens.
The Bills first-round draft pick in the 2009 draft, has yet to register a sack in his NFL career. In the Bills last game against Jacksonville in Week 5, Maybin only appeared in two snaps for the contest, the first true indication that the Bills were not really counting on him under the regime of Chan Gailey and Buddy Nix.
The healthy scratch is further evidence that Maybin's stock is now at an all-time low. Can it be that far-fetched to think that the Bills will release him outright?

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
With the Bills coming off of a bye week, Maybin wasn't able to do anything in the two weeks at practice to convince the Bills defensive coaches that he has stepped up his game or gained any additional motivation from the slight of two snaps against the Jaguars.
Maybin is from the Baltimore area, so he probably had a bunch of friends that had purchased tickets to watch him play. This has to be an embarrassment for Maybin to not even dress for the game, but then he will know how all Bills fans feel about having a first round pick that turned out to be a bust.
In addition to Maybin, other Bills scratches for today are Alex Carrington, Keith Ellison, Cornell Green, John McCargo, Terrence McGee and Ed Wang.
Maybin is one more example of high draft picks that have not lived up to their higher level of expectations, which include Trent Edwards, James Hardy and Marshawn Lynch. Poor draft choices are just one of the many reasons that the Bills have missed the playoffs for the past decade. Whether or not Maybin's situation turns around this season remains to be seen, but this is another big disappointment, in a long chain of players that have not lived up to the hype.
