College Football Picks Week 8: Michigan State and Arizona on Upset Alert
Week Eight will bring four upsets.
Northwestern over Michigan State
The Wildcats are good for one surprising win per season and this will be it. They have had two weeks to prepare for Michigan State, and the Spartans will be looking ahead to the game next week against Iowa.
Northwestern wins on a late field goal, 27-24.
Washington over Arizona
The Wildcats are playing without Nick Foles, who is out with a knee injury. The Huskies are playing a little better right now, and need this win badly with games coming up against Oregon and Stanford.
Locker carries his team to victory, 31-27.
Baylor over Kansas State
The Bears are 5-2, and can become bowl eligible for the first time since 1994. They will play with emotion and energy to obtain that goal. The Wildcats are a solid team offensively, but their defense is dreadful.
Behind Griffin, Baylor will expose the Wildcat defense and earn a decisive homecoming victory. Bears win 35-27.
Miami over North Carolina
This might not be considered much of upset considering both teams have two losses, but the Tar Heels are playing much better now than at the start of the season, and the Hurricanes have slumped over the last few weeks.
Miami has lacked an offensive identity much of the season, but Harris is due for a big game. North Carolina does not have much offensive firepower, and this will allow the Hurricanes to pull out the low scoring victory at home. The U wins 20-16.
