NFL Picks Week 7: Predicting The Top Offensive Performances
In the NFL, it seems like each week there is a surprise guy who breaks out and leads his position in production. So who will have the top offensive performances at each position this weekend? With all the parity in the league, it's almost impossible to predict, but I'm going to try and do it anyway.
Quarterback: Drew Brees
1 of 5
The Cleveland Browns secondary has not posed much of a threat to opposing quarterbacks in 2010. Don't expect that to change against Brees and company in the Super Dome.
Running Back: Chris Johnson
2 of 5
How could you not pick this guy? The Eagles defense has had trouble stopping talented runners so far this season. With the way CJ broke loose in his last two games, I don't expect anything different in Week 7.
Wide Receiver: Anquan Boldin
3 of 5
Boldin has shown what he can do against weaker secondaries. He racked up three touchdowns against the Browns in Week 3. This week he faces a Bills defense that has more holes than swiss cheese. Is another multi-touchdown game in the works? I think so.
Tight End: Antonio Gates
4 of 5
If he can play (he's currently listed as questionable), Gates should put up big numbers against a Patriots defense that has had trouble stopping tight ends all season.
Kicker: Mike Nugent
5 of 5
The Bengals offense has struggled scoring inside the red zone, which has given Nugent plenty of opportunities to rack up the field goals. Expect more of the same against a solid Atlanta defense this weekend.
