Strikeforce's Antwain Britt Hosts First Non-Profit Women's Self-Defense Seminar
On October 30th, just one week from this Saturday, a first will take place in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
It's not a local MMA event or a return to action for a long-beloved MMA fighter, but the long-term effect of what will happen could be enormous enough to inspire and motivate even a person who doesn't watch or care for Mixed Martial Arts.
Next Saturday, the Women's Initiative for Strength and Empowerment—also known as WISE—let it be known through a press release that they will be holding their very first defense and empowerment seminar.
The seminar will be from 2 PM to 4:30 PM at the Hybrid Training Center, which all who are interested can find at 3636 Virginia Beach Boulevard.
Hosted by its founder, perennial Strikeforce Light Heavyweight contender and all-around MMA Light Heavyweight favorite Antwain "The Juggernaut" Britt, the seminar will look to promote awareness and self-defense against various forms of abuse against women.
The seminar is free to all women who are interested in attending.
A non-profit organization, WISE was founded to prevent abuse against women from such things as domestic abuse and various forms of emotional, physical and sexual assault.
Through self-defense training, situation awareness training and confidence exercises, the seminar will enable all of its participants to defends themselves and/or their loved ones in any type of threatening situation.
As stated before, WISE is a non-profit organization, so their funds come from such things as fundraisers, sponsorships and public charity.
They openly work with government, private and public groups to help promote awareness of this situation as well.
Anyone who is interested should feel free to attend the seminar next Saturday.
Who knows—it could be a life-changing experience for you and your family.
