NFL Picks Week 7: Predictions For Every Game This Weekend

Josh McCainOct 21, 2010

Last Week I was back on my winning streak at going 9-5 improving my record to 54-37.

My coin flip of the Cowboys-Vikings game was luckily wrong and the Boys continue their downward spiral.

But seriously Dallas, how are you going to get called for "excessive celebration" penalties in consecutive weeks?

That alone tells you where Dallas' season is heading.

Enough about the dysfunction in Dallas and on to the picks.

Believe it or not the Bengals are actually favored in this game.  Yeah I'm shocked too.

Even though Chad Ochocinco has returned to form and sent No. 85 shirts to the entire Falcons team, I don't think that will be enough to get this failing team back on track.

The Falcons, in spite of laying an egg in Philly, will return to dominance and win 21-17.

In spite of his "poor pitiful me" routine earlier in the week James Harrison is going to be playing pissed off in Miami on Sunday.

Not that the Steelers defense needed any motivation to play hard, they are, after all, the meanest defense in football.

The Phins will play hard but fall short in an ugly game 17-13.

Unless the entire Raven's roster fall ill with the flu (and even then it will be close) I don't see any other way for the Bills to beat the Ravens.

In fact unless the defense or special teams scores, the Bills might be shut out.

Ravens win 20-2 (I'm giving the Bills a safety because they'll be punting so much that one will be down inside the one and the defense will get the points).

The Chiefs were one terrible pass interference call away from going 4-1 and beating the Texans. Jacksonville beat the lowly Bills and had a great win over the Colts, that's it.

The Chiefs might not be elite yet, but are better then I've given them credit for.

Finally I'll give them credit (and they'll probably lose because of it) but I'm picking them to win 24-10.

A rookie quarterback going against the defending Super Bowl Champions, this one is almost too easy.

So I'm going to take the easy way out and take the Saints.

Saints win 31-9.

Brian Orakpo has been a one man wreaking crew on a Redskins defense that has given up a lot of yards but not a lot of points.

The Chicago Bears offensive line has been a swinging door, allowing defenders to sack Bears' quarterbacks 23 times so far. Jay Cutler alone has been sacked eight times by an untouched defender.

The list of players the Redskins have knocked out each game continues to grow (and includes two quarterbacks). It doesn't look good for Cutler who's already suffered a concussion at the hands of an NFC East opponent.

Jim Haslette is going to unleash Orakpo with blitz after blitz against the Bears.

I'm back on the bandwagon and picking the Skins to win 24-13.

The 49ers finally got a win and Carolina still stinks.

Alex Smith has finally figured out that Michael Crabtree is a good receiver and Frank Gore is going to run wild.

The only nice thing I can say about the Panthers is that Bill Cowher should be their coach next year.

Oh, and Devin Thomas is out to prove that the Redskins made a mistake by cutting him. I doubt that they did.

49ers win 28-14.

I'm starting to think the Rams are for real, and Tampa might be too.

I don't know if this is an upset pick, but I'm going with the Rams to continue winning, 14-10.

Originally I was going to pick the Eagles to win this game, until former Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski came on the Tony Kornheiser Show and said the Titans defense was going to create problems for Kevin Kolb and the Eagles.

Well Ron swayed me away (I hope he's right) and I'm taking the Titans 13-7.

Um, where did the Seahawks come from?  I mean really, did anyone think they had a chance at the play offs let alone wining the NFC West?

I know I didn't, I thought for sure they'd have a top five pick in the draft next year.

Well they're quickly changing my mind about them.

The Cardinals travel to Seattle to the delight of a rejuvenated fan base that is going to be very loud.

Rookie Max Hall isn't going to know what hit him.

Seahawks win big 35-10.

Outside of Wade Phillips, there might not be a coach out there on a hotter seat than Norv Turner.

Even so his Chargers are 2 point favorites over the visiting New England Patriots.

I don't know what Vegas sees that I don't, maybe the fact that the Chargers are top five in both defense and offense.

Sadly though you are what your record is, and the Chargers record isn't that good.

Couple that with the fact that Tom Brady knows how to win these games and I'm taking the Patriots 21-17.

The Broncos aren't that good, but they're better than the Raiders who now turn to Kyle Boller to lead their offense.

Sorry Raiders fans but this isn't your year, decade and maybe even century as well.

Broncos offense goes back to their high flying ways, 28-14.

How can this game not be about Brett Favre.

Even before the ongoing investigation of the old man's cell phone activity, this game was going to be all about Brett.

The Vikings may have righted their ship last week against Dallas but the Packers, even though they've dropped two in a row, are still the class of the NFC North.

Both Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre will get sacked quite a bit but the Packers pull it out at home, 20-17 in overtime.

The last time the Cowboys backs were this far up against the wall the Boys routed the Houston Texans.

However the Texans aren't coming to town, the New York Giants are. And they're sporting a very mean and hungry defense.

Now I don't think it's impossible for the Cowboys to win this game, but the Giants are slowly becoming the class of the NFC and they're just killing people.

A win here could really help the Cowboys season but the Giants are on too much of a roll and I gotta go with the team that's winning over a team that against all odds finds ways to lose ball games.

It's a team game and it's going to take the entire Cowboys roster to lose this one.

Giants win 27-21.
