Villeneuve to V8 Supercars, hopefully
And right on cue, Jacques Villeneuve chimes in with his next big idea: Australian V8 Supercars.
Sure F1′s 13th team didn’t workout and neither has NASCAR, but why not V8 supercars: they’re fast, they’re fun, and well they have yet to ignore, disregard, or humiliate JV. Sure, I poke. It’s what we do here at F1B, but I could see V8s as a good home for the former world driver champion and hopeful someone out there gives him a real shot. It’s been a long time since he’s been behind the wheel of a car and he’s no spring chicken as they say.

Although I must admit, I loved that The Daily Telegraph said that JV was at a bit of a “career crossroads.” At 39 years old, I’d say that’s the understatement of the year.
But right on to the Canadian on the eve of his first V8 race:Give it a go, move the family to Australia, and enjoy the ride. It has to be better than the F1 circus.
