Brandon Marshall is Miami Dolphins' X-Factor

Tony SantorsaOct 18, 2010

In the Miami Dolphins Week 6 matchup against the Green Bay Packers, wide receiver Brandon Marshall was phenomenal.

Marshall snagged in a season-high 10 receptions for an astonishing 127 yards.

The former UCF Knight was acquired by Miami from Denver this past offseason. Marshall was expected to be quarterback Chad Henne's go-to-receiver, and he sure has filled that role.

Marshall has the fourth-most receptions in the NFL with 37, with 467 yards and one score.

In Miami's three wins, Marshall has snagged in 22 passes and contributed tremendously.

With the presence of Marshall, he not only adds a deep threat, but he also adds a possession receiver too.

Along with being an all-around receiver, Marshall contributes to the running game too.

Over the past few years, Miami has been a running team with the likes of Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams on the roster. But now with Marshall, the 'Fins have become very dynamic offensively too. Marshall has opened up the running game with his presence being split out.

Up to this point of the season, I think it's clear that Marshall is Miami's X-factor and possibly their offensive MVP.
