Fantasy Football: Wide Receivers Rankings for Week 6

Yesterday we updated our fantasy football rankings for Week 6. Here are some notes regarding wide receivers and pass defenses heading into this week:

• Titans receiver Kenny Britt, who also appeared in my free-agent pickups column, has scored in three consecutive weeks. This week, he has an ideal matchup against the Jaguars, who have allowed the most fantasy points to wide receivers this season.
• Through five weeks, Broncos receiver Brandon Lloyd has had 100-plus yards in four games and he leads the NFL in receiving yards (589). When the Broncos face the Jets this weekend, there is a good chance cornerback Darrelle Revis (hamstring) won't play.
• Bengals receiver Terrell Owens has 324 receiving yards in the past two weeks although he and I will both have zero this week. The Bengals—in addition to the Bills, Panthers and Cardinals—have a bye.
• In Randy Moss's (second) debut with the Vikings, he finished with four receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown.
• In the same game, Jets receiver Santonio Holmes made his less-anticipated debut with his new team and finished with three receptions for 41 yards.
• With his 12-catch, 130-yard, two-TD performance, it's clear that Hakeem Nicks—not Steve Smith—is the guy in New York.
• The Rams will be without Mark Clayton for the remainder of the season. Look for Danny Amendola (12 receptions on 19 targets and 95 yards in Week 5) to be a solid option, especially in point-per-reception (PPR) leagues. Amendola is tied with San Francisco's Frank Gore for fourth in the NFL in receptions (33).

8. Brandon Lloyd, Broncos (vs. Jets)
9. Malcom Floyd, Chargers (at Rams)
10. Brandon Marshall, Dolphins (at Packers)
