Manny Pacquiao: Don't Worry, Pac Man Will Be Ready

What is this I hear about Manny Pacquiao slacking off from training? That's what his Canadian advisor thinks the Pac-Man is doing.

I want to tell him to take a chill pill and relax: Pacquiao will be ready to go on November 13 against Antonio Margarito.

In the Manila Bulletin.com publication, Pacquiao's advisor wants him to increase the intensity of his training in the coming weeks leading up to the fight.

The advisor complained that Pacquiao took a couple of weekends off from his training recently to fulfill some public committments.

In Pacquiao's first weekend of training, he attended an Armed Forces event that he previously committed to. If the Pac-Man wasn't in training at all, he still would've made that committment.

I have a lot of respect for the Armed Forces of any country because they help protect our freedom and keep us safe.

You didn't hear about Floyd Mayweather visiting members of the Armed Forces in our country during his training; he was too busy counting his cash, or spending it, or betting on some games, or "making it rain."

Then Pacquiao made another public appearance in the second weekend of training to take part in a fun run. I thought that was funny to link Pacquiao to running, which he apparently hasn't done much of lately.

I guess sparring more than 20 rounds with Michael Medina and Glen Tapia isn't cutting it and preparing Pacquiao in simulated boxing situations isn't enough for Team Pacquiao, so the pound-for-pound boxer might clock in 12 hard rounds a day in the final weeks once the team arrive in Hollywood at Freddie Roach's gym, the Wild Card Boxing Club.

Like I said, boxing fans need not worry because Pacquiao will be ready to once the lights come on.

By the way, does anybody know what Mayweather is doing besides ranting and raving and sparring with his baby's mama over her new boyfriend?

Boxing fans should know this much about Pacquiao—he's not taking Margarito lightly.
