Detroit Lions-St. Louis Rams: Detroit's First Win and 2010 Season by the Numbers

In addition to being a supremely satisfying first victory of the season, the Detroit Lions unearthed a veritable treasure trove of statistics against the St. Louis Rams this Sunday.

Of course, that's to be expected when a team known more for losing than anything lays down a 44-6 beatdown of historic proportions. It was a complete, earned, nearly flawless victory, with every phase of the game firing on all cylinders like we haven't seen in a very long time.

So, let's look at it by the numbers. Not just the game itself, but the history of it, and what it means for the Lions going forward.

And just because it's fun, I'll throw in some numbers about the Lions' season so far, as well.

I guarantee you'll be surprised by some of this.
