There were some unusual heroes on Sunday. There always are. Let’s take a look at them and see if they are worthy of your fantasy rosters.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Fitzpatrick had a great game throwing three TDs vs. the Jags, but a quick look at next week’s schedule and you’re staring at a bye and then Baltimore. Then he heads to Kansas City, who made Peyton Manning look mortal. Maybe he has some use in five weeks against Detroit, but there is no need to carry him that long.
Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em
David Garrard, Jacksonville Jaguars
Fitzpatrick’s counterpart had three TDs of his own. He too has a tough schedule coming up (vs. TEN, @ KC, @ DAL) before a nice matchup with Houston. Too long to hold onto him without a use for him.
Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em
Shaun Hill, Detroit Lions
He’s probably a decent spot start against the Giants if he gets the nod. He had 331 yards and two TDs in Week 4 and 227 yards and three TDs this week against St. Louis. If you need a QB, grab him, but know it’s a short-term solution.
Ruling: Get ‘em
Running Backs
Earnest Graham, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Graham had 65 yards and a score, but only had three carries. He’s not going to be a useful option until Tampa commits a bigger role to him.
Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em
Mike Hart, Indianapolis Colts
Hart had 11 carries for 50 yards and a score. He’s no more than the No. 3 RB when Donald Brown is healthy so he’s not a great add.
Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em
Brandon Jackson, Green Bay Packers
If someone dropped him out of frustration after totaling just 45 yards on the ground the past two weeks, you may want to grab him as he dropped 115 on the Redskins. He added 25 yards on five catches.
Ruling: Get ‘em
Wide Receivers
Steve Johnson, Buffalo Bills
Johnson caught five passes (on nine targets) for 46 yards and two TDs. That’s four TDs in three weeks. The yardage hasn’t been great, but he is a decent play during the bye weeks despite a tough schedule.
Ruling: Get ‘em
Danny Amendola, St. Louis Rams
He caught 12 passes for 95 yards and Mark Clayton was carted off the field. You’re probably looking at the Rams’ new No. 1 WR.
Ruling: Get ‘em
Nate Burleson, Detroit Lions
Nate had four catches for 56 yards and a score. It was his first of the season and he still has fewer than 100 yards. Enough said.
Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em
Robert Meachem, New Orleans Saints
So Meachem scored finally. He exceeded his season total coming into the game with 72 yards on four catches. Potential alone, he’s probably worth picking up if he was dropped, but be hesitant using him.
Ruling: Get ‘em
Roy Williams, Dallas Cowboys
Williams came out of the bye and remained hot with six catches for 87 yards and a score. He’s clearly not the No. 1 WR, but he’s doing a fine job holding off Dez Bryant. Roy is the other Cowboy WR to own at this point.
Ruling: Get ‘em
Anthony Armstrong, Washington Redskins
Armstrong had 84 yards and a score, but only had four catches entering the game. He’s not roster worthy just yet.
Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em
Tight Ends
Marcedes Lewis, Jacksonville Jaguars
Lewis shined again with four catches for 54 yards and two TDs. He has five on the year. He’s a decent low-end TE1 or a great TE2.
Ruling: Get ‘em
Donald Lee, Green Bay Packers
Lee caught a TD and Jermichael Finley was injured for the year. Still, there are better options out there.
Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em
