During tonight's live Bound For Glory pay per view, Hulk Hogan returned to TNA with a similar feeling like it was WCW Bash At The Beach 1996 all over again.
During the main event for the TNA World Heavyweight title, "they" (Abyss's group) were revealed and big-name stars such as Hogan, Eric Bischoff and Jeff Jarrett were in the group and turned heel.
However, wrestling's biggest face turned heel as well, and that was Jeff Hardy, who at the same time captured the TNA title.
The show ended with the five of them (Hogan, Bischoff, Jarrett, Hardy and Abyss) celebrating in the ring. For Hogan and Bischoff, it felt as if 1996 was back into full play, as tons of trash was thrown into the ring.
PERAGINE'S TAKE: This was a shocker in a few ways. The biggest shocker to me was that Hulk Hogan, who is in major pain, returned to TNA tonight.
Secondly, Jeff Hardy winning the championship and turning heel was also an eye-popper, as I felt Kurt Angle was going to be victorious.
I enjoyed seeing Hogan back as a heel. He hasn't played that role in quite sometime. Isn't it funny that this heel turn by Hogan in TNA at Daytona, Fla., was the same place where he shocked the world by joining the NWO back in 1996?
Also, seeing Jeff Hardy in a different light should be interesting.
