Devils Notes
Anton Volchenkov got hit in the face by a Nicklas Backstrom slapshot in the first period. He did not return and is questionable for Monday's game.
According to Bob McKenzie, Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond's instigating penalty will result in a one-game suspension. PL3 had 21 PIM's in just over three minutes of ice time.
Capitals Notes
Alex Ovechkin played a heck of a game, picking up three points.
Nicklas Backstrom was held off the score sheet despite the team scoring seven goals.
Rookie Marcus Johansson looked very good last night, He served some time on the PK.
Michal Neuvirth had a shaky first period but rebounded nicely and made timely saves until the Capitals could get their feet on the ground.
