They will remain home for this matchup against a Navy team that has had their own shares of ups and downs. Navy’s low-scoring, 14-6 loss to Air Force exposed the team’s lack of offensive weapons. Ricky Dobbs remains as Navy’s leader behind the controls, but his recent struggles have left Navy’s season up in the air.

-          Dobbs’ senior season continues with its dark and bright spots. After throwing for 219 yards and a touchdown against Louisiana Tech, Dobbs was shut down by Air Force last weekend. He only completed 6 out of 18 passes and threw two interceptions.

-          Wake Forest’s last three losses against Stanford, Florida State and Georgia Tech have put a damp over the team’s confidence on offense. Skylar Jones finally got a start last weekend, but he wasn’t able to change much. The junior threw 20 passes, completing nine for 105 yards. He was able to find a favorable receiver in Devon Brown, who had his best game of the season with just four receptions for 54 yards.

-          The Demon Deacons need to regroup and get it together to avoid suffering an embarrassing loss to Navy. The loss would put their losing streak at four, before heading over to play Virginia Tech in the following week. Their backs are against the wall here and the team knows how important a win is here.

Wake Forest will most likely run with their new starter Skylar Jones at quarterback. The team will need their running back, Josh Adams to step it up. Adams had a great game last weekend, running for 101 yards and a touchdown. Navy should struggle with this crew, especially if Dobbs faces the pressures he saw last week.
