NFL: Fantasy Football Rankings Week 5 Wide Receivers
The wide receiver rankings return this week with our second round of byes that include notable names like Wes Welker and Brandon Marshall. We had Randy Moss’s name on that list, but after being traded from the New England Patriots to the Minnesota Vikings, Moss will be in action this week.
Fantasy football owners should be excited about this trade, as Moss will be Brett Favre’s primary target and he will play 17 games this season. With the Vikings having a Week 4 bye, there will be no resting for Moss in 2010.
Last week, we saw the improbable happen again, as Terrell Owens posted 222 yards and a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns. Oddly though, he and Reggie Wayne both lost their games, despite being the most productive receivers this week by far. It just goes to show, stats don’t always equate to wins. That said, let’s take a look at our.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Fantasy Football Week 5 Wide Receiver Rankings.
1. Roddy White (Atlanta Falcons) @ Cleveland
The San Francisco 49ers game-planned specifically to stop Roddy White last week, and they succeeded for three quarters. Then he exploded for six grabs and 83 yards in the fourth.
He is unstoppable.
He should murder a Cleveland Browns pass defense that allowed Terrell Owens to go for over 200 yards last week.
Point Projection: 20 points
2. Calvin Johnson (Detroit Lions) vs. St. Louis
Johnson finally had the big game his owners have been waiting for with 86 yards and two touchdowns against a tough Green Bay Packers defense. He gets a much easier opponent in the St. Louis Rams, whom he has never played. Expect something similar to what he did last week.
Point Projection: 18 points
3. Reggie Wayne (Indianapolis Colts) vs. Kansas City
With Austin Collie putting up huge numbers this season, Reggie Wayne wanted to make sure everyone remembered who Peyton Manning’s top dog is and went off for 15 receptions and 196 yards. The Kansas City Chiefs are currently 25th against the pass this season, giving Wayne a similarly easy opponent to pick on.
Point Projection: 17 points
4. Anquan Boldin (Baltimore Ravens) vs. Denver
Boldin followed up the huge three touchdown game in Week 3 with a ho-hum seven receptions for 68 yards in Week 4. He gets a Denver Broncos defense that allows the fourth most fantasy points to receivers, so a big day can almost be guaranteed for Joe Flacco’s main target. Expect Flacco to target his big receiver often and for Boldin to overcome a tough matchup with Champ Bailey.
Point Projection: 16 points
5. Hakeem Nicks (New York Giants) @ Houston
After scoring four touchdowns in his first two games, Nicks has been held without a touchdown over his last two. He has still been plenty productive, with 15 receptions for 166 yards. The Houston Texans have allowed five passing plays of 40-plus yards this year, so perhaps this week he can get the best of both worlds with a long touchdown toss.
Point Projection: 16 points
