The first of two long awaited test matches between India and Australia drew to a close today; the match certainly lived up to the hype. 

The Indians were ranked No. 1 in the world in test matches heading into this clash, while the Australians were ranked No. 4.

The Aussies' standing in test matches had slipped in recent months, while India had lived up to their top ranking. 

In the first test, Australia climbed out to an early lead, but India clawed back late in the match to catch and eventually take the lead away from the Aussies.
