Philadelphia Eagles: QB Michael Vick Is Hurt But Not Broken
Good news Philadelphia, it is reported on NFL.com that QB Michael Vick's MRI results came back negative for broken bones after his spine got shifted by two Redskins players.
Granted, the man is sore, and his chest (sternum) and shoulder is what appears to be bothering him the most, but the fact that everything remained in tact is a relieving update to say the least.
Had Vick's ribs broke, we'd be looking at a good three weeks at a minimum to get back onto the field depending on the severity, and with the way Kevin Kolb came in and replaced him—well lets just say that he once again proved coach Andy Reid right in his decision.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Now that is not a knock on Kevin, I've said this before and I will continue to say it, this offensive line is bad enough to form multiple ulcers in just a single game but I'm not going to defend him either. Kolb is a good QB who needs time to check down his options.
But he's not great, he isn't the same Kevin Kolb who we all witnessed in 2009 to relieve the injured Donovan McNabb. That player got lost in the quick stardom he had.
I've actually heard chatter already to bring aging veteran Jeff Garcia back to town short term, but would he do it? At his age (40) at his weekly salary ($25,000), I think he'd prefer to just stay put and continue playing in the UFL.
With that, I've decided to take a look at the available QBs who are still free agents, and the last team they played for who the Eagles could technically sign if they wanted to.
Free Agent QBs:
1. Jeff Garcia: Oakland Raiders
2. Daunte Culpepper: Detroit Lions
3. Trent Edwards: Buffalo Bills
4. Matt Gutierrez: Kansas City Chiefs
5. Josh McCown: Carolina Panthers
6. Patrick Ramsey: New Orleans Saints
7. JaMarcus Russell: Oakland Raiders
There are others out there but these are the "cream of the crop." As of right now I'll stick with Kolb over any of these guys except Jeff Garcia but if he continues to play like he has lately, Eagles fans, we might just have to go with one of the seven listed above.
Thank god Vick's testing came back negative!
