Arsenal Pass, Drogba Scores, Chelsea Wins Yet Again
Last week's loss to West Brom left me speechless. The spineless nature of that defeat just got me so...let's just say they were really bad. For some reason though, today's loss didn't resonate with me in the same way. That could be because where the Brom implosion was a total blindside, today's result was so predictable it felt almost like I was watching last year's game against Chelsea.
I have to admit that we played well for a while. The decision to play Diaby behind Chamakh seemed to work well and his physical presence and good close control seemed to cause Chelsea a few problems. That combined with Wilshere's passing from a deeper midfield position and some decent dribbling from Arshavin had me actually believing we could win it for a while.

Once again however, it all came crashing down and it was that man Drogba who did it. Same old Arsenal, same old Chelsea, same old result. Good football, pass and move, pass and move, Chelsea counter...BANG! One nil to Chelsea! Here we go again!
That being said, there were some positives along with the negatives so here is a list of some of the things I took from this game.
1. Keep playing Fabianski, wasn't bad today and with any luck he'll get a few good games and kick Almunia out the team (I'd still prefer a new keeper though).
2. Wilshere good! His performance in midfield today was great. Great passing, and some good tackles.
3. I love Clichy, but he's just not good enough right now. Give Gibbs a chance, more effective in attack and can't be much worse than Gael in defense.
4. 4-4-2 is the way, anyone notice how we always look more fluid when we play that formation? We should quit trying to copy Liverpool's formation, it doesn't work for them and it isn't working for us. Play Vela up front with Chamakh, or with JET, or even Arshavin.
5. Tell Song to BE DISCIPLINED AND STAY BACK! You are a holding man, so hold for Pete's sake! Leave the fancy stuff to Jack and co.
6. Pace is good! Chelsea had loads of it, and we had nowhere near enough (which explains why we hardly ever got behind them). Wenger goes on about the talent his kids have, give them a chance then.
Let Vela have a proper run in the team, give JET a few more matches and let Sunu and Afobe have a chance too, even if its from the bench. Our guys are too similar (Nasri and Rosicky for example), Sunu and Afobe are strong, pacey players and will offer something different when we need to change the game.
7. Did I ask for a return to 4-4-2 yet? Please, Wenger!
8. Don't pay too much attention to all the doom mongers who will undoubtedly be mongering doom in the next few days. We are not done yet, the title race has still got a long way to go. I do acknowledge that it will be hard, and we definitely have to make some changes, but it's not yet over!
9. Biggest positives, Theo, Cesc, Nick and Vermaelen are all returning soon.
10. Still not happy? Count your blessings, at least you're not a Liverpool fan!
