New York Rangers: Back Already? Dale Weise and Mats Zuccarello in Lineup
According to Andrew Gross the New York Rangers have called up wingers Dale Weiss, and Mats Zuccarello for tonight's preseason finale. They are projected to play on the third line together centered by Artem Anisimov. Neither Marian Gaborik or Ryan Callahan will dress tonight, but Gross says it is not due to injury. John Tortorella felt they needed some rest, and they will get a chance to rest tonight. Alexander Frolov, Dan Girardi, Sean Avery, and Marc Staal will also rest.
This move makes a lot of sense considering the fact that both Vinny Prospal and Chris Drury will be injured for the first week of the season, and the Rangers may want to carry some extra forwards to the games. Both Zuccarello and Weise will re-enter the battlefield, and continue to fight for a spot on the Rangers roster.
