Week 4 NFL Teaser Picks: A 10 Point Super Teaser Worth Betting: October 3rd 2010

There’s no doubt which way we are going with this one. The Lions have been very stingy this year, and giving them 24.5 points in a game is just a boatload. The Packers still don’t have any semblance of a running game right now, and they are going to have a hard time killing the clock late in games. Even if Detroit does happen to fall behind by four scores over the course of the game, we just don’t see it practically happening to lose by this many at the final gun.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Cleveland Browns
Game Date/Time: Sunday, October 3rd, 1:00 ET
Game Location: Cleveland Browns Stadium, Cleveland, OH
TV/Radio Broadcast: CBS, Westwood One, Sirius

NFL Odds: Cincinnati Bengals (-3) +100 vs. Cleveland Browns (+3) -120: Over/Under 37.5

Though we tend to like the Browns as a Rabid Dawg NFL betting selection as well, we think we’re playing it safe by taking them up to 13 points in this one. Last week, Seneca Wallace proved to lead the charge in a great game in Baltimore against the Ravens, and we tend to believe that either he or Jake Delhomme can find a way to keep a similar Cincinnati team at least remotely in check. The running of Peyton Hillis has been a pleasant surprise this year, and if he can keep the ball moving, there is no reason for Cleveland not to stick within two tuddies.

New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins

Game Location: Sun Life Stadium, Miami, FL
TV/Radio Broadcast: ESPN, Westwood One, Sirius

NFL Odds: New England Patriots (-1) -110 vs. Miami Dolphins (+1) -110: Over/Under 46.5

Last week, we rolled with the New York Jets against the Dolphins, but this week, we think the roles are reversing. Miami simply can’t afford to lose its first two divisional home games of the season, as that would be a recipe for an NFL betting disaster. The Dolphins have an offense that can really exploit a shaky New England defense this year, and the ‘D’ is clearly good enough to get in Tom Brady’s face just like it did with Brett Favre two weeks ago in Minneapolis. The stars are going to be aligned for the Fish, and they’ll roll on MNF to complete this three team NFL betting teaser.
