Iqzy's Preview and Prediction For WWE Hell In a Cell PPV
Yes, it has only been two weeks and for some odd reason, even though they have got such abysmal PPV buyrates, WWE decide to host another PPV. This time they are hosting a ppv named after a death defying structure, though the hell in a cell match WAS intriguing to watch, nowadays its just another gimmick. We used to have so much emotion going into a hell in a cell match, showing how dangerous it is, but when WWE dedicate a whole ppv to it, it loses it's integrity.
If you remember, back in the Attitude era, we had Mankind vs Undertaker, HBK vs Taker, we had a six man match with Angle, Rikishi, Stone Cold, Rock, HHH and Undertaker. Then the post attitude but pre-pg era of HBK vs HHH, HHH vs Nash. These matches had one thing in common. All matches were brutal, had enough promos to add to the reason they were involved in a death defying match, and the fact that blood was involved, made it seem even more dangerous. Now we have this match like as if it is a singles match, no blood involved, and have a WWE championship match with a title that looks like a joke and makes the match even more PG.
Anyways, this slideshow will show my preview and prediction for each match advertised as of 2nd October 2010.
ENJOY!
Unified Divas Championship: Michelle McCool (C) With Layla Vs Natalya Neidhart
1 of 6
I firstly find it a joke a Beatiful People ripoff group holds the titles. Secondly I find it stupid that there are two titles like as if it is a tag title. Thirdly, the title looks ridiculous. Fourthly, the name of the title makes it even more of a joke. And fifhtly, if there is such a word, they remove a prestigious Women's title for a PG WWE title?
We had the likes of Sunny, Mae Young, Victoria, Chyna, Trish, Torrie, Ivory, Lita, the women who can wrestle, hold the Women's title. Suddenly we get sports entertainment superstars like Michelle McCool and Layla hold titles, and the wrestlers like Natalya and Gail Kim do not? Wow even TNA does more for their Knockouts division then WWE's Divas even though TNA just showcase the Beautiful People all the time (by the way they CAN wrestle).
Anyways, this match happened because Natalya won a battle royal for the right to face the LayCools, well Michelle McCool apparently. Now a championship no one gives a crap about because it looks like a joke and has no prestige, it makes it look as if they are all just a bunch of Bellas. Natalya is a fine wrestler, and one of the best, if not THE best worker in the division.
I can see Michelle McCool retaining with some interference by Layla, and watch out next week for some fat jokes aimed at the beautiful Natalya.
Winner and Still Unified Divas Champion: Michelle McCool
US Title Match: Daniel Bryan (C) Vs John Morrison Vs The Miz
2 of 6
Wow never have I been more interested in the US title than the World Title matches for the past few months. Furthermore, the best US title feud since Matt Hardy & MVP. By the way I must add, this is a Submissions Count Anywhere Match.
Daniel Bryan has been on a roll lately. He has been the ultimate underdog, and the whole WWE Galaxy or Universe, one of those places, are right behind him. His match vs Miz at Night of Champions was the best match of the day, and the only match the crowd was behind the whole way through, and the pop when Miz tapped out was incredible. The US title has already got so much prestige, and since The Miz held it for so long, it added to the prestige and the fact the "Internet Superstar" Bryan (stupid Cole he is Bryan Danielson on the internet) beat "Michael Vintage Cole's toyboy" The Miz, it made it seem even more special because the guy reminds people of Chris Benoit.
Then you have John Morrison. The guy who supposed to be the bigger superstar between him and The Miz, ended up doing nothing after the split up whilst The Miz has become a huge star and future World Champion. But a potential feud between either Bryan and Morrison or Miz vs Morrison has got this writer excited. All three of these wrestlers can work and have the potential to be the match of the night even though it does not involve the Hell in a Cell gimmick. It has a gimmick that has been advanced to add Submissions count anywhere...O...K.
I can see Bryan retaining my making Morrison tap out, and I can see Morrison becoming heel after this, whilst The Miz leaves them two at it to go for the bigger picture in the coming months.
Winner and still WWE US Champion: Daniel Bryan
Intercontinental Championship: Dolph Ziggler (C) Vs MVP
3 of 6
Even though this is not advertised as of 2nd October 2010, I can see it added last minute. These two were supposed to have a match supposedly for some reason even though was not advertised, on Friday Night Live SmackDown, but got interrupted by the Nexus.
Dolph Ziggler has not been a standout since his win, and the title needs a little more prestige and a wrestler like MVP can add to that. MVP was supposed to be this generations "Rock" but for some reason keeps getting pushed back to nothingness.
Kofi Kingston and MVP deserve to be in the World Title picture, but don't know why they are not. I can see Kofi being involved in the match, but I do not think WWE want another three way match on the card. So I can see MVP winning this match cleanly, and possibly turning heel and have a potential feud with Kofi Kingston, straight up Ballin'. Oh please lord let this happen.
Winner and NEW WWE Intercontinental Champion: MVP
John Superman Cena Vs Wade The SyFy President's Bitch Wade Barrett
4 of 6
WOW, John Cena in another highlight of the PPV and he is not the champion. I have couple of predictions but I know we will end up with the obvious.
Nexus have been on a roll with vicious beatdowns and the Justin Gabriel 360s to top off each beatdown. Cena is always the Superman and is the parent and kid's role model. How come he is always the one to come save people when Nexus beatdown, but when the legends got beat no one done a single thing to stop them? For one, I can see Cena beating Nexus with the help of his new group, the Season 2 NXT rookies. Or can see Darren Young interfering to cost Wade Barrett the match.
If Wade Barrett wins, I can see Cena turning into an anti-hero, but somehow turn out to be a face next PPV becoming the mole in the team. The Survivor Series Poster shows the Nexus in their entirety, but seems outdated because it shows Darren Young and Skip Sheffield on it.
But my prediction, and the obvious choice? Cena wins after getting beat most of the match then delivers the five moves of doom, and next show delivers a monotone "feel for me" emotional dramatic promo.
Winner and STILL Superman: Joooohhhhhn Ceennnaaaaaaaa!
WWE Championship In a Hell In a Cell Match: Randy Orton (c) Vs Sheamus
5 of 6
The Viper, Randy Orton is the only person I can tolerate that is the face of the company. He delivers exceptional promos, and has a finishing move that he can deliver anytime. Sheamus is a wrestler that has become big in such a quick time, and he does deserve it. The guy delivers a great promo, is menacing, sells moves and actually can wrestle.
People believe Sheamus went to the top because he is HHH's gym buddy, but nevertheless you cannot deny the guy can wrestle his brains out. I can see this match become a great match, because Orton can be vicious, and Sheamus also, therefore the death defying structure will come in use when both of them are in the match.
I expect Orton to retain, and we could see HHH returning to distract Sheamus, and possibly move Orton on to a new opponent whilst Sheamus continues his long awaited feud with HHH.
Winner and STILL WWE "Toy Belt" Champion: Randy Orton
World Heavyweight Championship Hell In a Cell Match: Kane (c) Vs Undertaker
6 of 6
This feud and The Miz vs Bryan are the ultimate feuds of WWE today. With the addition of the returning Paul Bearer, it seems like Deja Vu. But somehow these two have made the feud seem fresh, and that proves the veterans CAN deliver a feud of our liking.
Paul Bearer's return would have been more exciting if we have it on the LIVE SmackDown show, that way we would not have been spoiled, and if JR was announcing. Grisham again made a return seem like he just came back from last week. He flopped on Christian's return then he flops on Paul Bearer's return. Sigh.
Anyhow, Kane has been menacing in his world title run, and the supernatural elements of Undertaker are back to haunt us, and it gives a whole new light to both their characters, and sadly it could be Undertaker's last year in WWE.
I see Undertaker winning the match, to give him his last title run till possibly Royal Rumble, and the their feud continuing till WrestleMania in a non-title match.
So, Winner and NEW World Heavyweight Champion: The Undertaker
Thanks for reading, and I shall be back for Preview & Prediction for TNA Bound for Glory next Sunday.
