Bowling Green holds tight to what has been a promising passing connection between quarterback, Mike Shilz and Kamar Jorden. The Falcon’s receiver, Jorden is among the nation’s leaders in receptions with an astonishing 40 catches, four games into the season. Buffalo will look to Jorden and the Bowling Green offense down in this inner conference matchup.

Keys to the Games

* Buffalo has lost their last four games, in their recent loss against Connecticut, Davis threw three of his seven picks of the season. The team has a hard time winning because of the sophomore quarterback’s mistakes in moments of the game. Davis needs to get it together and restrict forcing some throws, because he’s been doing a great job finding the junior receiver Marcus Rivers. Marcus leads the team with 29 receptions for 365 yards and a touchdown.

* Bowling Green would’ve been easy favorite if it wasn’t for their terrible defensive group. The team is currently giving up 39 points per game this season; they’re ranked #112 in points allowed. Michigan lit them up last week for 65 points, while below-average teams such as Troy and Tulsa have also scored at least 30 points against them this season.

* Bowling Green is ranked 34th in passing yards so far this season. Most likely they will try and air it out to make a game out of this one. Buffalo’s defense isn’t anywhere near top-notch, but they do have a chance at weathering Bowling Green’s passing game if Schilz gets hurried.

While Bowling Green’s offense is liable to give up plenty of numbers, they should be able to contain the Buffalo Bull’s offense. They will need to keep a close guard on Buffalo’s leading receiver Rivers, while also looking to get the ball to their leader, Kamar Jorden.
