Oakland Raiders Have a Tall Order To Tackle The Texans

The Oakland Raiders can do it. Defeating the Houston Texans may be a tall order but it can be done.

Both the Oakland Raiders and the Houston Texans lost on Sept. 26. The motivation of the Texans may be to gain a win.

The intangibles are what will make the difference for the Oakland Raiders. Why did I say that?

I said it because last week, without a doubt, Sebastian Janikowski had the talent, ability  and historical statistics that made some folks believe that there would be a high probability of getting the desired field goal during the game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

It did not happen.

Something else is needed on the playing field. What is it? It must be what one article said that George Blanda would tell the Raiders in the huddle during tight games during 1970. It goes something like this:

Don't even think about losing this game!

Bruce Gradkowski has to emulate the role that George Blanda had. He must rally the guys to think only positive. The Raiders must think of winning, nothing less.

The Oakland Raiders must win this game. Let me tell you why.

Al Davis has lost a dear friend. He may feel grief. He may need a "picker upper." He needs a win and he needs it now. We have experienced the loss of one great Oakland Raider who was an octogenarian, so please cheer up another.

Winning the game would be a way to express love and gratitude for all of the great accomplishments of men like  Jack Tatum, Gene Upshaw, George Blanda and others.

The Raider Nation is experiencing grief from the loss by one point on Sept 26.. The Raider Nation needs a "picker upper" too.

Go Raiders! It may be a tall order but rise to the occasion and tackle the Texans. Just win, baby!
