New York Rangers: Prospal, Drury, and Rozsival Updates; Next Cuts Coming Sunday
The New York Rangers have had a lot of early training camp injuries to deal with this September. The most current player injuries are Chris Drury (finger), Vinny Prospal (knee), and both Michael Rozsival and Steve Eminger have had some lower-body issues. Here are the latest updates on these players.
Chris Drury
Reports out of training camp suggest that Chris Drury may be put on the injury reserve list come October. John Tortorella has acknowledged the fact that Drury will likely miss the first week of the season, allowing another player on to the roster. If Drury is not eligible to play by the first week of October, he will likely be placed on the IR.

Vinny Prospal
Vinny Prospal has told the media that he is feeling better, and that he hopes to play both games against the Senators on Friday and Sunday. The final decision will likely come tomorrow prior to the preseason game against Ottawa.
Michael Rozsival
Michael Rozsival will likely sit out both games against Ottawa, due to an injured groin muscle. He was hurt in the game against Detroit last night, but he is expected to be ready for the start of the season (bummer).
Steve Eminger
If you have not noticed already, Steve Eminger has played only one game so far this preseason. He has not practiced with the Rangers for most of this week due to a lower-body injury, but like Rozsival, he will likely return in time for the start of the season.
Third Roster Cuts
John Tortorella has announced that the next roster cuts will be made on Sunday. He wanted to make more cuts this morning, but after a meeting with Glen Sather and Jim Schoenfield, they decided to put cuts off until Sunday after the preseason game against Ottawa.
Trade Rumors
According to Steve Zipay, the Rangers are in trade rumors with three different teams. Todd Cordell has also confirmed these rumors, and it is believed the Rangers may try to get rid of extra forwards and defenseman. The three teams in rumored trade talks with the Rangers are the Columbus Blue Jackets, Florida Panthers, and the Phoenix Coyotes.
That's all for now.
