NFL Week Four Winners: 27-21 for Season, but 12-2 This Week Will Get You Well

Thomas MorelandSep 29, 2010

After a bleak week of upsets that did not materialize, plus a couple of whammies and poof, eight and eight last week, this week seems much easier.

We have 14 games on this NFL Week and we will pick the winners of these games for you one by one.

Your survivor/eliminator league picks this week are the Jets and Green Bay. I am undefeated in these league's this season so far, both Fox, and ESPN.

The Jets will utilize the run more this week with Tomlinson and Greene, as Buffalo defends the pass pretty well. Green Bay will wear out Detroit. That's 2-0.

i doubt if the 49ers can travel all the way back east and then beat the hot Atlanta Falcons in their own back yard. as fantasy teams worldwide dump Michael Crabtree. 3-0.

New Orleans is favored in Vegas by 15 points. They will win this game, although a division game usually plays closer and Carolina can beat the spread but that's about it as New Orleans wins this game. 4-0 now.

Tennessee is favored by almost seven at home so take them straight up to win over Denver. Orton will have more trouble with this defense on week four. this is an easy 5-0 start to week four.

Cincinatti will also out match Cleveland and win this game. They are just a better team overall right now. 6-0.

The Rams are very weak home favorites ans Seattle is playing pretty well. The Seahawks seem to have progressed a little faster than the Rams so far this year. Take the Seahawks in a little bitty upset. 7-0 hopefully.

The Giants are 3.5 point favorites over the Bears who are 3-0. The Giants are home, and are looking not so great. You figure the Bears jump all over this team and keep winning? Probably not as Vegas gets this uncannily right and the Giants win by three to four points somehow.

I'll take the Giants but it's 50/50 who wins this game. 7-1 maybe.

San Diego is a big favorite over Arizona and straight up this would be an easy bet with anyone who likes the Cardinals. Bet the Chargers can win this game outright. 8-1 now.

Philadelphia is a bit more talented than the Redskins, so forget the McNabb drama and look at the skill level of the players themselves as well as age. Washington cannot keep up with the legs of the Eagles for four quarters. 9-1 as Philadelphia holds serve here.

Houston should be too much for Oakland this season as they are still growing and searching for some kind of team identity and leadership. The Texans have their sights set on play off land this season. Houston wins this one. 10-1.

Peyton Manning and the Colts win this game with as much difficulty as they had with Peyton's little brother last week.

Jacksonville won't surprise the world with a win here as the rumours start swirling about  a new coach, new city, and all that other J-ville news.11-1

I like Baltimore to take advantage of the absence of Roethisberger at least once, as the Steelers drop a close one at home to the Ravens. This is another 50/50 proposition as Pittsburgh is pretty great at home with a defense at full strength.

I am also a Steeler fan, which raises credit to picking the Ravens anyway. 11-2 maybe.

On Monday Night Football. The Patriots travel down to Miami with a division game and both teams at 2-1. The Dolphins are favored by just one half to one point and this inspires no confidence in the home team.

If Miami had any advantage, they would be 4-5 point favorites at home. This will be a field goal game most likely, with New England getting the win

. I have New England, Miami, and the Jets are predicted at 11-5 to end the season all tied, perhaps even 10-6. We shall see how that plays out my Patriot friends.

This should be a simple winning week. Don't take ridiculous upsets this week as the league settles in a bit.
